I don't understand women. The boys and I wanted to show the mrs the Malvern Star ad this morning after she'd been away for a few days. She couldn't give a stuff? What's wrong with her.
Anyone here got a wife that appreciates it?
The song was ingrained in my head, before seeing the ad again I could still sing it. I'm pleased to say that I remembered it accurately too, though I forgot the "video" of the ad.
I showed my wife.
She said "Oh yeah."
"So, you remember it then?"
"No."
"The song though?"
"No."
"So what were you saying oh yeah to?"
"It's a good ad."
Sheesh... I guess I'm lucky, she goes to great lengths to humour me.

Sure is a great ad.
That shot of the tuff wheel spinning in the Tange forks is burned into my brain from BITD.
Funny though - somehow I remember the song as a bit rockier that that - obviously I've been rockin' out a bit too much when singing it in the shower over the years.

This track also hosted the 3rd round of the first Australian titles ever held in 1980.

Here's my latest arrival, although I scored it ages ago and have been waiting for them to send it.
It's a CW Phaze1 Mini to go with my 20inch. Somehow I don't think getting a cruiser will be an easy task to complete the set.
It's my first mini as I got it for my son. This will be the first of mine to get ridden and dropped probably.
Haven't built too much over the last 5 months as I'm clearing a few debts before I go nuts again. Hopefully the builds will start again soon.

Ratboy, I had one of those orbiters BITD (they are the correct decals on it) I haven't laid eye's on one since the 80's!! To see that again brings back some memories! Memories of lugging one of those up my street to my house. They were very, very HEAVY!!!! I think they might have been made in Australia (as volcano said) out of mild steel? I'm a bit vague on the details...thanks for posting it up...
Adam, that mini is very cool, good job securing it!
John (Wannatobuyahutch) your frame set turned out a treat, as expected with the JC repairs and Roberto weaving his magic! I can't wait to see it all together it is going to look awesome....also Glenn that bike looks like it would have fun riding position!

Thanks Volcano ....Yep thats the picture i came across ...from what i have found scouring the net these frames were made by a jap / asian company and sold to whoever across the world and they branded them with as there own .......The UK did them as Meteorlite ....Aus did them as Southern Cross .....etc ....i may be wrong i'm only going off what the gods of the Internet have said ....this still has me wondering who might have done them as a Orbitor here .....Cheers Mate

Click to view attachmentDear god no! Looks like an experiment gone wrong. Please tell me that thing is a one-off and never made production?!
1. Hard corneri... hang on, *ANY* cornering on that thing would be diaboloical.
2. Landing it off a jump would see it go in a random direction.
3. Getting a pump head onto the valve would be difficult.
4. Can't imagine a rim braked model would work too well.
Sounds like fun. Put me down for 3 sets in coaster brake.
