Reece.....that is some funny shlt!
Jarvi
Has anyone let Lewis know about him?
Jet Black
Laying down $50 for this 2nd rate chrome V bar & neck with a faded generic padset , am I missing something here , this looks like the kind of stuff we used to bend / slash / mutilate then dispose of bitd at the bikeshop.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=190123957163

Some of the other stuff he's bidding on looks like good quality gear.
Maybe someones Beta testing an Artificial Intellignce programme designed to automatically buy specific goods off Ebay , send automated threat letters to anything it interprets as a "problem" & send variable standard format automated excuses for not paying when the software wins the auction & he's using the BMX market as a testing ground.
We could be dealing with a potential code writing genius Uber hacker , or , I could be grossly overestimating an absolute idiot trying to estblish a great looking buyers profile (at a quick glance) in a hurry , who's looking to case peoples houses for valuable stuff when pre-viewing high dollar bay auction items like cars, boats , bikes etc in 12 months time , I'l keep an eye on him for a while , to see where he's headed.

Thanks for those links QS BMX...

Yes Andy.

Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay. My name is Janine and I will address your concerns regarding member felschow2006.

Upon reading your email I can certainly understand why you would be frustrated with this situation, and I empathise with your feelings.

As for the unpaid items, please be assured that if members make a habit of not paying for item won, accounts which acrue multiple strikes will be suspended unil they personally take steps to resolve those strikes. Therefore, even though you were kind enough to excuse this buyer - in my experience other sellers will not be so understanding.

Now, to deal with the messages that this member has been sending you. I have reviewed them and agree that this is highly inappropriate and clearly a violation of eBay policy regarding proper use of the messaging system. I would like to take further actions to make sure corrective measures are pursued to our fullest abilities.

she sounds like a robot-girl - does she come with 'special toys'?

It would be a terrible shame if felcher's details fell into the hands of assorted Interscam members from Nigeria , Russia & China..........
Waza obviously has his reasons for not tagging him as a non paying bidder.
Being branded a non paying buyer on the bay a few times is a very effective way to shut this guy down.
To ebay it's all about getting their cut out of each sale. You can mess all you want with the money via schill bidding & other methods to increase the final auction sale price , but not paying or not appearing to pay at the end is a Sin that goes down on your permanant record.
A -3 rating is the best working account I have seen to date , all due to the buyer being a non payer. They managed to extend the account's life from termination by selling themselves a homemade BMX chopper from another account & giving themselves some positive feedback , but I think they never gave ebay a cut from the $155 sale price by properly processing the money & the account was axed.

As for the bay police's "corrective measures" for abusing their internal messaging system a slap on the wrist is the best you will get & they are non cumlative.

To me the worst part of the passive complaint approach is that ebay will break national privacy laws & will pass on Waza's Ebay details to a 3rd party company , "approved by ebay" but not in any way a part of Ebays corporate structure as far as the Australian Securities Council is concerned.

Basically the guy who is in the right , gets his name & details put onto a list that get's resold to spammers if you respond to their request & say how well your complaint was handled.
You end up shooting yourself in the foot by being "reasonable" or "nice" with scam artists on ebay , in my experiences.
The bay is full of pirates so you may as well be cutting throats rather than giving out breaks to people who are _genuinely_ full of crap , making threats & causing you trouble.

Mr.BMX
I find that ebay NEVER helps me when i have an issue or victimised by a shonky buyer/seller etc.
However, when i refuse to pay for an item (due to $50 handling fee for $5 item), ebay forces me to make payment or suffer.

How's that fair???

I'm puzzled where they get the term "buyer protection" from ;-)

Mr.BMX
Note to self:

Sell Martinbike a GT 24" for MORE than $400us.
rsrichie
Mr BMX i totally agree, i have had a similar experience but it only seems to happen with US dealings as when i have had issues with australian buyers/sellers it all seems to be sorted out correctly. Its suprising to see someone take on Waza with his impecable history. I guess the old story of a few cans short of a 6pack comes into play.
Mr.BMX
In felchers case, it's closer to 7cans short of a 6pack ;-)
AndyDiamond
Martin - you can have my Pro Class 24" for a similar deal - lol
waza007
I refuse to reply to him as its not worth it. Despite every bit of me wants keep poking at stick at him... May we can send Aussie Rampar around to ask him what he's doing??? (Ello Ello, what going on ere??)
OldSkoolRoy
Hahahe...he'd fix im'. Roll up in the police car with a warent to serch for old school bmx bits. LOL. He's a good bloke...haven't seen him since the BBQ at Jaces' place. Haven't seen Jace either?? I should give him a ring. MIC OZ....i 've got to ring Mic too. Can someone pm me Mic ozes ph # please.
Kurt.
Hey Melbourne guys - Do you know when that St Kilda swap meet thing is on in July? I'm heading up to Ballarat for work for the first week of July and was hoping it's on one of the weekends either side?
Jarvi
Kurt, it's the first Sunday of the month so that would make it 1 July.
Bradster
Hey guys, as some of you may know I've been dabbling at my old bmx track on the practice nights, well I managed my first decent jump tonight! Ok doesn't sound much but it's been a good 20 years since I've had a bike in the air! It felt great, I was rolling around the track and thought 'best just give this a go' did a quick calculation on how many sick days I have at work...-plenty,-ok, I'm going for it, wooooohooooo!! For a nano second I was a teenager again! Lookin' forward to next week, thinkin' I'll just enter a race night and go for it!! Reckon the body will be a tad sore tommorow!
Kurt.
Thanks James.
Mattblack
Good on ya Bradster.
I still just like sitting on the berm and doing a straight at a time, jumping. Even though I'm 3 times the age of the kid next to me.
bennyg
Hey Kurt thanks for giving me an update on foo_poborsky I'm glad you had a good to reasonable experience with him.
Although I received my goods they were the wrong colour so I've gone the old Paypal way to try & resolve the issue of exchanging items.
The reason for going Paypal is that he doesn't respond to messages or if he does respond to a message it normally takes him a week or so through Ebay without an excuse.
Excuses I can understand but no communication I can't.
Cheers

Hey Rohan you racing this Saturday & thanks for the heads up on the Patto.

Yeah, haven't managed a full lap in 'anger' yet either...
AndyDiamond
Bradster - I'm not sure what differences are but they are different.
The Two Four was considered one of the best BMX frames at the time by BMX Action.
The Pro Class 24 is meant to be as good.
Jarvi
Anyone have two pairs of white brake pads? Tuff pads or similar, as I think Dia Compe make some like the ones that came with the MX1000 sets. Was putting all the parts in a box for a build next week and seem to have forgotten to organise them.

Bradster, you'll be itching to get to the skatepark soon. Just as much fun as the dirt jumps.
www.martin-bike.com
Finally got a UPS tracking code - Hutch XL24 in transit to my sister's in California. Only 3 months late . . .
www.martin-bike.com
James, I have 2 sets of Skyway freestyle pads in white available but not until I'm back next.
Bradster
3 months late!!!! What's the story there Martin?? I have a mate waiting for a f/f from the states-it's been about three weeks and he's allready getting a tad toey!
Jarvi
Thanks Martin I'll keep it in mind. Had the frame set since about Nov 85 so I'd like to finish it next week but might have to use something temporary to start with. Could have sworn I had some but couldn't see them in my boxes of goodies.

Fingers crossed for your XL24.
