Hey Mark,
Here is a pic of the complete bottom bracket I have and the nut I need to complete it. If anyone has one or something similar, please let me know!

serva
lol I got one for you reece! no kidding! Its for a one peice crank set up ...right?
QuicksilverBMX
Yep! they are for a 1 piece set up
velocidad
yeah i got one spare too, but for the lh side - it looks too me that is what you have the lhs?? the chainring side usually had a beefier flange that nipped up onto the chainring. the one i have is a sort of titanium colored anodised aluminuim. it came from serva's neck of the wood's actually, coastvl might remember it on evilbay ;-)
COASTY
mmm Yeah I do remember.
On another note, I just won the purple Haro on the bay. Any clues as to what I'm gonna do with it? Colors people, I need color choices.
serva
Glenn ! go the black and grab some stickers from ajk bikes on the left [ make it look like a sport ], send me your addy again ! i have some tyres for your sons bike [freebies ]....they should look cool
COASTY

Could be yours.. Best offers.. (email me)
COASTY
Oh my, thats cool. Bad timing at the moment but. If someone else steps up, let them. I'm buying a new house at the moment and several things to pay for off ebay. I'll see what happens. I'm really after a silver one if I can. I'd hate to strip a nice paint job.
Cheers Mate
Glenn
KOSY-MOTO
its not 10/10 paint job.. but it's nicee!! for a every day ride.. i give it 8.5/10
KOSY-MOTO
any good?
COASTY
Oh yeah. Thats what I have. Bloody good stem imo. Mine has proven to be bullet proof. Not as popular as the tuff necks and pro neck, but a damn good stem. Like I said, I have 2 now. Even better with the sticker still intact.
Mattblack
How should I go about re-chromeing frame, forks and bars anyone?
COASTY
Take them to a chrome plater ?? They'll do the whole deal from start to finish. Make sure you find someone that knows what they're doing too. The local guy up here didn't have a clue and didn't really want to do it. I now send them down to Lismore. Or I will be at least. Is this for the DB?
Glenn
Mattblack
NO for the Redline I don't have a Diamondback any more pitty.

Should you sandblast
COASTY
NO! They'll strip it for you. It's a reverse of the chroming process.
KOSY-MOTO
In Sydney.. I don't trust anybody to re-chrome my goodies.. BEST use Brasso!! or autosol.. abit of soft steel wool to help ease the surface rust.. Re-chromes in Sydney are **** !!!
COASTY
You shouldn't use steel wool on steel frames. The wool leaves metal particles on the surface and joins and promotes rusting. I learnt that the hard way.
Mattblack
I lent the frame to a friends kid and he thought it would look better if the sanded it and then painted it. The chrome has some good stratches in it.
KOSY-MOTO
huh... only soft wool not the hard stuff.. then give it a clear coat of clear have you have polished it with brasso.. trust me it works.. look at my Goosey.. turned out million bucks including GST! hehehe..
KOSY-MOTO
HEY!! we have the most post in here!! we should consider making our own BMX aussie site.. we dont get alot of interests here.. never do I see an Aussie BMXer on the main webpage or in the Museum!! Sorry Im just having a say..

KOSY-MOTO
HEY gang.. heres a joke for sunday night...
WHAT do you call an Aussie at your door?
Pete Porker
Don't use steel wool, use copper wool ! My chromer in Newcastle is just the best, been in the same building for over 50 years, been doing my Chev parts since the 80's, perfect every time and garanteed no rust return. They've made some basketcases into show bikes for me.
Pete Porker
And BTW - the Aussie site is - www.oldskoolbmx.com

any victorians go to lalor today? trev?
Mattblack
Hey Glenn what is the closest track to you
COASTY
Nerang is 500 meters from my house. Ashmore is 10 minutes drive and Beenleigh is 30 minutes too. And the skatepark and dirtjumps are the best in Aust.
QuicksilverBMX
I was quoted $330 for frame/forks/bars by a chromer over here, he initially said "buy a new bike".
Thats ok, the first place I went to wouldnt touch it.
Mattblack
Sounds good,do you hit up the dirt jumps.
Nerang has a big meet in Jan I think, when it 40 c
crossriderozzy
coastvl ,man how lucky for you,our nearest track is 200 ks from here,I have a practice start gate, and some small table tops in the paddock next door for the boys ,Is it the same nerang track from old times?
COASTY
Yeah I'm not sure on the dates yet. My neighbour is in the admin for the club. I'll get them to get me the details. It's a National open meet. Don't worry, they reopened the pool today down the road. Plenty of cold beers at my joint.
COASTY
.Nerang has changed a fare bit. Jumps are a lot bigger than what I remember.
