Wow! That is an old one.
I can actually name most of the guys here, so we should let the others on the forum have a go first.
More interesting is the location. I think I know where the photo was taken, but I could also be wrong. Any guesses anyone???

Hey fellas,
Any of you see one of these before?
Reliance Moto-bike I bought one of these in '79 with my hard earned school savings. Mine had all red plastic and a black frame. Removed all the plastic first night.
Fond memories, but Waaay too heavy to ride up hill very far. Sort of rode like a 40 lb sponge.
Within a couple of months I'd discovered real BMX and within a year all I had left was the bars and wheels which I'd fitted to my first BMX frame (mild steel Speedwell frame).
My old frame is landfill at the Launceston tip...
Jarvi
May 6 2007, 01:02 AM
And I assume that would be the old tip in Invermay which is now sports grounds rather than the one at Mowbray?
Happy birthday for tomorrow Richie. Must be the month for birthdays.
Kurt.
May 6 2007, 01:09 AM
Yeah Jarvi - Invermay Road Tip - now "Heritage Forest".
The Speedwell frame ended up at the tip within about 3 months too. Busted it and replaced under warranty with a Madison. That thing took 18 months of sheer abuse and racing and never batted an eyelid. Tough frame.

May 6 2007, 04:34 AM
Hey Kurt, yeah had to have that frame! Maybe blue/chrome to compliment the red/chrome one, then again I've had thoughts of a susp front fork, v-braked possibly internally geared Moose also-now that would be different!

Best to put ~15 to 20 PSI of air into the bike tubes on the wheels first Roy. It makes all the big jigsaw pieces a lot easier to move around & less prone to pinching a tube or damaging any spendy skinwall tires you may have mounted.
It's also good pressure to properly seat old tires onto old tuffs , so you don't go into bomb diffusion mode when you accidently put 50 PSI into them & see a scary bulge start to show up....tick tick tick BOOM.
Saw a picture of you Cafe , you're still riding in the right colours , maybe it was the Standard frame that slowed you down , instead of riding on of Jim Meltons trusty fast frames
