Nice score on the tyres Chris.
Comp IVs rock - don't put them on anything up to the end of '83 though - it's wrong otherwise.
Are they 1.75?
Crossrider - are they the tyres I sent you?
How are they holding up?
Road cycle guys are experts in mounting sew-ups.
I've heard stories of four guys trying to get one tyre on a rim - those things are tight!

Sep 3 2005, 02:58 AM
gearing is 39 ,16,you cant put any bigger than a 40,theres also no sign of the cracks in the sidewall that andy had warned me about, the guy at the bike shop waited for me to come in,he needed a extra pair of hands, man were they a tight fit,I cant wait to see nick on it, rain? hope not

Sep 3 2005, 03:04 AM
you can redrill some pedal holes, then cut the rest off and round over

Sep 3 2005, 03:26 AM

sorry,but I love it
COASTY
Sep 3 2005, 03:38 AM
It's very cool. With the cranks. I was told to get the same thing done, but to make sure the pedal hole was centered properly. They will be unbalanced if not done properly. I cant see it being too hard. Have a go and if you stuff it, buy some more.

Are they Vortex bars? They look very similar to my Tobys bars.

ok redrilling is no worries, I'll get a pair of tap's and sort 'em out, wasn't sure what you mean't.
i hope this little project didn't stop you gettin the young fellas down for some gate practice this arvo? plenty of kids down there- they had a big cleanup day hand sweeping the whole track etc. boyo is a bit worried about converting to a handbrake, but i think he'll be ok.

I got bored this afternoon (fathers day?) and threw this together. Need some comp st tires and some decent brakes. It's for my son toby when he gets a little bigger.
This turned up on friday too.

Some good stuff there MrBMX.
Velocidad, does your little one sit down all the way around the track? My toby does and I've tried everything to get him to stand up. Any ideas anyone. He's built like a 8-9 year old (he's 5) and he'll kill the competition if he would just stand up. Maybe in time.

hey coastvl, get your lil bloke to follow the other kids round, and try? to get him to watch some older kids,(6,7 yr)and show him what they do,my harry is 5 ,been racn nearly 12 months and he started off the same, now well if you seen him ride you would see what that time spend chasin his 2 bros aroundhas done,he flies, give him time and LOTS AND LOTS of encourgment,(spelling)

Thanks for the info. He follows our neighbour around (she's #1 aust) and he'll get it I'm sure. He's starting to a little. He can keep up when he sits, so when he stands up he'll fly. As long as he's havin' fun I'm not too worried. He's only been racing for 4 months too.

if hes following her around, sounds like you beta get ready, and fun is the word, good luck

Coastvl, yeah he's sitting - he has no choice coz he's stroking out because of the crank length vs' leg length thing! lol... early days for us, i'm just happy if he stays upright and has a smile on his dial atm!

It's a MX-II Redline, TRX forks, GT bars(think they called them intermediates or Experts), sunshine hubs, araya rims, suntour stem, DIA comp MX seat clamp and brakes, IUN seat, maxycross cranks and yes DX pedals.
