Hey Jarvi, Sean Jarvis I am thinking, yes to both questions. Hope you liked the interview. It wa a bit deep but I am sure it would have got threw to few kids. How's Perth. My bikes are coming along. Just picked up a set of redline flights (originals) No pinch bolts and also four sets of peregrine superpro hubs. So I now have the 86 sport with sealed tuff II, 88 sport with Peregrine super pro's and 401 cranks, 89 Street master will have peregrines as well as fusion three piece, Air master I am also building up peregrines and fusion three piece and lastly I have just built up my 92 Dyno Slammer with everything. Just need the sticker's to finish it. John

Jarvi
John, no I'm not Sean Jarvis. Long story behind the name Jarvi that I'll save for later. I enjoyed the article and thought the whole magazine was quite good and a change from the fluff/ads in some others. Nice 'little' collection you are putting together as well.

Guys, on another matter I need some ebay advice. Bid and won an auction that said don't bid if you can't provide a US address. Contacted the seller with the US address I use. He wrote back that the address must be linked to the paypal account, which I can't do because only Australian addresses can be linked to my account. Offered to get a US based person to pay, as their account is linked to the address and said I would be paying for insurance. He wrote back that the paypal account must be linked to the ebay account that won the auction. This is where I'm getting frustrated because as far as I know, unless you sell on ebay you don't/can't link ebay to paypal. Can find anything in ebay and only link in paypal is under the heading seller tools. Any advice?
broke L345
Hey jarvi, that sounds dumb, why can't your friend just forward the money into this guys account under "other item". job done, then he can mark it as "being paid" and send your item.

I don't understand the issue??
OZZYBMX
is that anyone on here selling the SE MAULER 24" on ebay.oz ?
Jarvi
Thanks Broke. All I can think is he is trying to protect himself against a Paypal reversal, I really have no idea.

LOL. Nice one Bradster!

Hi, Luke Murwillumbah, Aus. Been off the scene for a few years. Seems to be a fair following for the vintage scene from Aus here. Thats cool. However, I have noticed a distinct lack of bikes at my old hunting grounds, the tip. Anyway I'll keep my hand in as I am halfway through a resto.
Kurt.
Hey Luke - welcome. Kurt from Tassie here.

It's a hot day so if you're shouting, a Boags St George for me!

Cheers Kurt

What are you building Luke?????

ROBERTO
It's nice to see new faces joining the site!
QuicksilverBMX
wow luke you've been around here since march 02!

So are you just getting back into resto/collecting?
luke
Hi guys. yeah been around awhile. I kept a few projects and parts and have a bit of time on my hands so I am back into it. I am currently restoring a 'Premier'. Does anyone remember them. They were a nice cro-mo frame made OS I think and assembled in Queensland. They have some real nice gear on them. In hindsight I should have left it as is. When I got it from the local mower shop who used to sell them, it was all original, but with shop wear. Anyway I am really only going to get the frame done, and from some reading here looks like it will have to be Roberto, whos going to do it. The forks trx-500 need rechroming. NOS seat and post, new tryes and polish it up and she is done. I'll post some pics when I work out how to do it here. It keeps rejecting them.
COASTY
Hi Luke. I used to live on the Gold Coast and went down to Murwillumbah tip often.
Good to see you back in here mate. Theres quite a few boys still on the goldy with A+ rides. Leroy and 84profile have the goods.
Cheers

Ahh. that where all the frames have gone. Did you come across the old chick that worked there. I was there one day about 4 years ago and she had a heap of stuff she wouldn't sell. Thought she was sitting on a gold mine and got greedy. Gooses, r/lines, anyway I ended up locking her son up (used to be in the cops) and that just sealed the deal with her and me not getting anything. I have a restored goose and a couple of frames, powerlite, the premier and a couple of dragsters and some parts left. Should keep me going for a while.
COASTY
I didn't see any good stuff when I was there. Theres a few guys on the GC that aren't on here. I bet they got them. Skippyrose on ebay is a tiprat. He gets a lot of his stuff from there.

COASTY
Thanks mate. $$$ will be there too I hope Thursday.
COASTY
Oh I forgot to say, That frame looks very nice. Glad it finally showed up.
velocidad
hey C - the only apology owed is one from Brett to yourself.... glad it came through for you mate.
OZZYBMX
hey broke , is the post mark from 23 months ago ? of from a few weeks ago ?

the box and stickers look in good nick for travelling around the fed-ex warehouses for 2 years !

if the post mark is old then you call it evens . if the postmark is any less than 23 months old then the seller has lied for 2 years . maybe he seen the light
COASTY
exactly what I was thinking Ozzy. If it's been floating around for 2 years, fair enough.
QuicksilverBMX
I'm glad you got justice Christian.
AndyDiamond
Mr. Kimble - "parp".....
www.martin-bike.com
I thought my 14 month wait for the Torker from Jesse Vargas was bad. As your first eBay purchase, it's a miracle you're still in this game. Glad it all worked out Christian.

I'm not familiar with that frame. What is it?
prosight
it looks like a DG to me.......

"Out it goes....Dont let it go back to Aussie!!"
broke L345
The package was posted last Friday to a friend of mine in LA after several illegid attempts were made to post it to Australia over a year ago. I don't care what excuses etc I have it now (or as good as). what an ordeal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey Martin, prosite is correct, It's a DG I can't wait to finally hug it!! Vdad, I got my oppology, you know I'm not the spiteful type. Thanks for your support bud, I think it was your tip on the stem he had that helped me get it. I aapreciate it

AndyDiamond
Nice DG - looks restored.

Velocidad - it's not going anywhere at that steep price!
mcam
I've sat on that GT that Velocidad mentioned...
broke L345
yeah Andy, it's been preped and powdered
dugga
hey christian... good to see the DG saga finally coming to an end. It just shows persistence can pay off. I wonder what would have happened if you just rolled over and copped it on the chin?
That GT in NZ is amazing it won over 100 trophies and all without tyres or pedals... must be magic
www.martin-bike.com
Okey dokey. DG - cool.
heinz57
The complete Team Jag being put together as an Xmas present for Broke by his brother (me!) might take as long as the DG. Was due Xmas 2005 so 2007 looks good . Hang in there mate.
Mattblack
Nice DG broke

Anyone got any DB pro bars?
broke L345
sorry, what was that heinz, did you say because it's so late you're gonna put areospeed cranks on it??
broke L345
and thanks to every one about the DG, does anyone know what year it is and how it was built up? I'm trying to get some Ideas, it'll probably be black and yellow or blue and yellow.

Any pics of simular model would be appreciated
heinz57
Broke, Going by the museum picture on this site looks like an '80-'81 DG Pro. Both DG's are worth a look for you.
Jarvi
Here's a few more. With a yellow frame I'd be going with yellow and blue parts.
bullyhotrod86jh
congrats on getting that DG finnally, looks real nice.

hey guys this guys being a little forward about his shrill bidding i see.
ebay
normally they use what could be some how be mildly believable aliases atleast. meh.
AndyDiamond
here's a 'Martin Build' for you all - lol

Had this 83 Laserlite frame and fork laying around so thought I'd build it as a rider. The chrome is pitted and flaking in palces. Cleaned up a bit. I have a set of decals to go where they are currently missing.
No parts have been obtained for this - just using stuff I have laying about.
The 1.5 chrome 7Xs are way cool

OZZYBMX
hey at least its a real one ! not like the deliberate fake being sold on ebay.au as a "i think its a kuwahara" , just coz the dropouts and frame shape look like Kuwa's ( the closest Kuwa it is like is the same as yours above andy ... kz-3 laserlite ) . the serial number is wrong , the brake bridge is wrong and the chain stays are wrong on this bike , the guy is a serious collector and would know what he really had if it was real . yous will have seen the auction , finishes 9.15 sa time , i hope none of yous are on it , the cranks look good but thats it .

my 2 cents

BTW andy , thanks for the pics and heads up on the GT
Mattblack
^^^^^
lol

My 2 cents worth
OldSkoolRoy
That'll make a nice rider Andy. I like it alot. It sits good. Nice bars....
OZZYBMX
hey mattblack , i sent the seller a "super" rundown explanation of every old kuwa and basically saying he was twisted listing and playing dumb on the facts , including a link to jamies http://www.dreamgate.ne.jp/kuwahara/ site which explains it all , i was going to bid on this bike too . the next day jamie sent me an email saying that this bike was definately not a Kuwahara and the guy was chancing his arm .

he has answered and posted 3 questions since mine ... i wonder why he didnt post mine on the auction .... $310 auction end thats why !

probably every guy here has got stung in some way or other since getting back . its people like this who leave that first bad taste on the getting back to BMX .

seller a member here ?? gmh_collector
