so is there a set of rules that we need to abide by for this old school show, what bikes cant be chrome or painted, must have tuffs and one peice cranks, flights or profiles accepted, only the early ones, blah blah and so on, whos call is it to put a restriction on the age limit of an old school bike, personally i think anything before ahead is eligible, still got 10 years of history

v8ute, dont sweat it, bring them along, we just put that on as a guideline so people would get the idea of what it was all about, everyone's welcome !! There's no rules !

Aug 11 2005, 05:10 AM
no malice intended pete but they are still old and real nice, personally i would much rather look at a nice bike from that era than a 17 inch top tube hotfoot or supermax, that stuff is entry level dude, the gear i have is all high end just like your quadangle, i think people will get a kick out of that too, single fork kastan, square tube nos hawk, team model auburn, gt, robinson, and powerlite, dont stress i got a pk and a profile too

Perhaps it's a good time to get some feedback on HOW MANY people are gonna bring bikes to show, and HOW MANY bikes can they bring?
The hall aint that big ;-)

Reece, here is a black MX2 stem, though its kinda faded purply grey now !
and here's an MX7 -
QuicksilverBMX
Aug 11 2005, 05:31 AM
Wow I didnt even know there was an MX7!
I'm gonna turn an old faded MX2 into a spiffy new black one (or try to)
As for the bike show v8ute, if someone took the time to restore it, theres no such thing as "entry level" Theres always going to be favourites for some and not for others.

heywhats with this pre 90 crap, i have a heap of old bikes from 90-92, so what i cant bring them cos they arent from the 80,s
I still cant find where it says "dont bring any 90's bikes"

how very true, totally agree, if someone puts in the time it is well worthy, and i appreciate all types but anyone can pull a bike out of the tip and show it, dirt and all, if ya build it, build it well and i will love it no matter what it is

Aug 11 2005, 06:52 AM
it didnt say " dont bring them" pete porker referred to it as a pre 90,s show, so the question was asked

Hi guys. Remember the copy Torker frame I have? Well I gave it to the powdercoaters and said make it look cool. Well this is the end result. The photos don't show the colour very well. It's Candy apple over chrome powder. It looks killer in the daylight. Looks like a trickstar colour if you get me.
Gonna use chrome and polished parts for my son to do his tricks on. Cost? 2 hours work on his car.

Hi All,
Anyone need "CW Pro Handlebars" $50Aud....
quick sale, email/PM me.....
They had been rechromed by previous owner, but i'd say they need chroming again for show condition.
(or a damn good polish)
These are the real knurled ones, not the repco copies.

While I'm here,
This photo was supplied by mattblack (rohan) he is the no 10 in the front row. This is our team from 80-82 I think. The poster is on the wall still at Champion cycles at Penrith. Unfortunately I was cut out of this pic. Top right is my shoulder.
This was taken at the grand nationals at Liverpool.
Great times with my buddies.
Enjoy!
