ok. so i've got myself 4 redline F/F's and only one padset. the plan is to use the nice original set as templates for 3 repo sets. getting the vinyl cut, sewn and snaps put in is not a problem for any trimmer, but the screen printer tells me the design has to be changed by 20% so as not to infringe copyright. what the???? so i tell them thats not the point of doing the job. anyone else have this prob?
HowardinOz
V8, there is no doubt your bikes are well worth the money you were asking. Mine was a general comment on what I've been noticing lately regarding prices of most OS BMX items on the Bay. Probably with the exception of a few things such as TUFF's and OS Mongeese. Your bikes just served as an example. I was surprised they didn't go within an hour of being listed. Had they been in the US, I'm sure they would have!
I was watching the auctions to see the outcome. Yes, Ebay is a way of guaging values of items. How else can you know what you should be looking to spend on something? Very few people on this site disclose what they pay for parts so their is no other marker by which to judge.

I think it was a Zeronine which I saw on the Bay Mark.

I've been thinking of making some brown suede pads for my PK and having the SE logo embroidered in blue on them. Something different!
Either velcro or studs, I have the gear to do them and the embroidery is easy enough.
My PK's are retro though!

Yeah - Happy 41st Glenn.

Hey Anthony - hot in here today...

Nice goose Reece - always liked them in white. I've got a very clean early '81 nickel frame I'll build one day.

Long weekend here in Northern Tassie so I'm heading off waterskiing this afternoon till Monday nioght.

Cheers Kurt

V8 might not have a 100 bike's but his 10 are some of the BEST quality and attention to detail that most of us could only hope for, and anyone that has seen them would agree
HowardinOz
Damn, you are some defensive people!
I started this and I didn't even mention any names. It was a basic, simple observation. It didn't really have much to do with Anthony's bikes except for the fact that they were on the Bay at the time and they really showed my point! That and the couple of loop tail Rippers that have appeared recently. I'm sure, only a year ago he could have asked double for those bikes. No one is denegrating the quality of V8's bikes. They are immaculate!
Agree'd Ozzy may have been able to phrase things a little better. There's history between those two but I really think Oz was just having a dig.

Out of curiosity V8, how come you decided to sell the bikes?
Downsizing?
New project?
Or, just had enough and giving it away?
proline2

Proline2:

$0 postage dude, local pickup.

If any interstate guys want to bid on "local pickup only" auctions, then just ASK the other guys here if they'll pickup/re-post to you....you'd then get it for $20 postage, not $187 ;-)
KOSY-MOTO
Looks great Quickie.. NOW dude you seriously have to do some paving URGENTLY!! hehehe
broke L345
what are you talking about kosy? I thought he was living on absolute beach front
waza007
HI Guys

I know this should be in the for sale section, but wanted to let the aussie guys know first.

IM chasing a NICE black skyway tuff II dont care front or rear and does not need any hub AT ALL.

Also i have these NOS FRONT alloy flanges for trade. All are pairs except a single Graphite stamped one.

Will consider all trades, especially mongoose, BUT i really need some rear flanges. I will negotiate a trade with 2 or more fronts for 1 rear. But email me first for details.

waza@waza.net

I have odd tuffs for trade or email me for your requirements

HowardinOz
I don't know Luis.....I like the 'beach at your back door' look!

QuicksilverBMX

PROIE!! YOUR MAIL BOX IS FULL!!
Kurt.
Great couple a days skiing here in Tassie. The water was a balmy 14 degrees...... Great flat water though and plenty of sun. Tassie lakes are something else if you mainlanders haven't experienced them - the Queensland pros go off on the water down here.

Hey Velocidad - Yeah I knew about the state titles. Only problem is they were in Hobart - which is about 3 1/2 hours drive away. They rotate through the south, north and north west with the titles so I plan to take the kids to the next one.

Geez Reece - wish I had a gold stem hanging around in my spare bits!!! Nice bitsa mate.
waza007
I had a tuff day today so I'm resting now.....LOL

broke L345

hey does anybody know that seller of the supermax? inspectre???just think its a bit weird...he's bought mine off me, now all these bikes r appearing with the bits off my bike...and he says he buying it for his godchild.
hey i got the cash, but if u gonna strip it...tell me... just wondering...
cheers
proline2 check your pm box
Mr.BMX
Does it really matter dude? you sold it, you got cash for it, now it's someone elses to do WHATEVER they want to it.

I think if you sell something, then you've "let it go", and it's really not your concern or business any longer.....why worry about stuff like that anyway? it's hard enough to be concerned about your own stuff in life, let alone care for stuff that ISN'T yours......
KOSY-MOTO
Geezz Waza.. that's alot of Tuffs... that will keep you going for months!! hehehe YOU got any 24's?
waza007
yep im restoring all of them and theres 21 pairs still to do, Bully

LOL... Richie ive still got supermax's to get rid of here.

MrBMX, it is funny to see some bidders bid "hard" on an item only to see it listed back up for sale a few dasys later. Or an ebay seller describes "selling to pay a emergency bill" whilst the same bidder is bidding on other itmes at the same time!!

Not my concern its just funny to observe..

NO 24's Kosa!!! .... I wish
QuicksilverBMX
Yeah i sold him this Bike, but thats all i'm going to say in case the bmx police arrest me for having an opinion.

Marty dude, i gotta ask, you seem to be buying anything on ebay, are you going to open a public museum or is it going to be a private collection or should i just mind my own business

[ November 06, 2006, 06:10 AM: Message edited by: QuicksilverBMX ]
COASTY
From what I've seen Reece, marty has enough already to open a museum! Very impressive stockpile.
KOSY-MOTO
LOL.. @ Quickie..

Oh Quickie your right about those silly Yanks.. when you post a bike you get maybe 2 replies.. Post anything about NOS stickers and boyeee..... the B_I_T_C_Hnes that they get.. alot of envy from across the shores! Not good I tell ya!

thats my 50Cent worth!

Kosy-Moto
Mr.BMX
Errr, i'm not buying "anything" dude, just filling the odd gap here'n'there, or replacing something with a better quality one to eliminate needless labour on my part ;-)

Yep, i hope to open a public display/warehouse/shop someday, although leasing prices are killing that idea slowly.....in the meantime i try to keep an online museum going and share the parts'n'piccies with anyone who enjoys that stuff....

I dont have a stockpile anymore Glenn, its stockpileS ;-)
QuicksilverBMX

Oh Quickie your right about those silly Yanks
lol it has nothing to do with them, i was talkin about MR BMX jumping all over redlineoz!
Mr.BMX
jumping on? i'm puzzled why someone is concerned about something sold, and/or re-sold....why worry about it, you got ya cash, deal's done..... ????

If the problem is that the new owner is trying to get MORE than the original price, isn't that the sellers fault for selling too cheap?
Who even knows if the new owner will even get that price?
At the end of the day, why worry about it...nobody's concern but the new owner and new buyer hey?????

fark, i sold loads of stuff for way under $100 or $50, and i'm glad i got wot i got for the bits'n'pieces.....and if the new owner wants to try their luck flogging my stuff for premium price, then good luck to them, so what if i sell bullseye hubs for $100, and the bidder resells them for $250, at least i got my $$$.

I really dont see the problem, well, unless youre GREEEDY !!!!!!
Mr.BMX
and now for something completely different ....

just another phase of "the cleanup"

Enjoy !!!
COASTY
Goddamn! It has grown a bit hasn't it? Still no floor though! lol
