Hi all,
Nice to meet all you guys who were at the gathering. I didn't have that much time as I was riding, but it was cool to see some bikes and chat in person. I didn't take any pic's sorry. It seem to get alot of interest cause people were talking about it before the races.
RC
OldSkoolRoy
Kurt...it' a Bennet. Not real sure of the year model though??? Has a 3 speed rear hub...74-78' or something like that.
bullyhotrod86jh
thanks marty how strong is that pattern generally? ive finished it but im yet to ride it.
Also does anyone know when the gt tube rides were out as i know where a set are and will probly grab them. Anybody looking for a set?
Also I got the slam bars as you guys suggested,i started working for a shop lately, so ask what they could give me the old slam bars i found in the back of the pile of bars, old slams from 99, with the basketball, and star logo, and the guy worked out he could sell them for 77 bucks, so i came back today and grabbed them. might throw up pics soon. they'll go well with my 2000 model S&M race frame. hehe.
Mr.BMX
Not sure of the wheel strength bully, i built some as pretty wheels, mainly the 27" ones, they seemed to have some give, probably due to the curve in the spokes giving way.
They really gotta be ultra tight, e.g. no curves, to be strong.
Otherwise, they look hot ;-)

If any one wants the full sized photos from my website just send me your email addy and the pics you want and i will forward them to you or if you want all of them i can burn them to CD and mail it to you. I had to reduce the size of them as i am only on dail up at the moment so i takes forever to load the full size pictures up. The video will be in the downloads section of the site very soon.
Jarvi
Here's a couple from the weekend. I've put the rest over in the original gathering thread.

Mattblack (25) on his cruiser that looks even better in person that the photos I'd seen.

Grown guys eating childrens drinks. Pete Porker, Supermaxcromo, Waza

Got a bit on at the moment so I'll go through the others later. Thanks to Pete and Richie for setting up the event and space for us. Good to meet some of you for the first time and others to catch up with again.
Pete Porker

bullyhotrod86jh
what are you asking for the all tubes cmo ones?

rsrichie
great pics jarvi they sum up the whole day the weather was great the company was great and the bikes where outstanding, i cant wait for the next one when i will have a few bikes to show.
broke L345
hey bully,

I like your taste in bikes, You mean these are now 6 years old? my god! even my race bike is old school
v8ute
looked like a good day at the show guys, thought there might have been a few more rides there though, the lack of numbers in bikes was a bit disappointing and yes richie, the quality of waza,s ET was astounding
v8ute
who ever owns that white PK has to repaint the forks, it just looks a teeny weeny bit out of whack with the red, guys dont get me wrong here, killer bike, killer parts, i just cant bear to look at it with those blue forks
somebody call the style police, lol
Jarvi
v8ute, that's the infamous straight chainstay PK with the flight cranks and custom made spindle. Oh yeah, it's mine. It's loosely based on Mike Buff's looptail and needs to have the baby blue stickers on it. But who knows when they will be available?

I see you point though and agree at the moment. It was take that bike or another black and chrome Hutch and we've all seen them haven't we?
v8ute
actually jarvi, with the blue stickers it might look ok, killer bike bud, i thought it was yours, lol
v8ute
hey jarvi, send me some pics of the spindle and cranks bud, i would love to see thew masterpiece that has been created
Jarvi
Forgot to mention that it was a bit of a saga to get the forks painted so that's staying there until the last flake comes off. The Landing Gear stickers will also help to break it up a bit.

Don't have any photos other that what I posted a while back but will get some to you eventually.
v8ute
dont stress, i will eventually see it bud
bullyhotrod86jh
haha **** yeah broke, there a bloddy nice bike hey.
yeah the guy i bought it off even had the S&M raceforks, just like you have there but he kept them.
hey what's the deal with the lonnnng valve stem by the way?
broke L345
it's impossible to pump up the tires at a servo with out an extention because of the deep v rims and I kept losing them so have kept one on the bike. I know it's ugly but I am a lazy bastard
velocidad
Are they Velocity aerohead rims? crossriderozzy has them on his DK cruiser.
broke L345
no they're Velocity deep V's.

OZZYBMX
hey guys , im gonna take a pic tomorrow and post it here for you pleasurable veiwing

i bought a set of nos pat pend acs z's in yellow for $70 at the beginning of the year .... wait for this .... the guy didnt send me them ... i waited ...waited ... BANG !!! NEGATIVE , very disappointed !!!!

next thing i get an email from him saying "sorry mate , ive been busy , i'll send you 2 sets to make amends !!!!!!!!!!! i said MAGICAL " i'll retract the NEG and all is good .

he sends me 4 NOS YELLOW PAT PEND ACS Z's dated 21st june 1981 .... perfect condition physically but been stored badly , they had stains all over them !

basically useless as old school building rims as the stains looked terrible .

i tried everything to get the stains off but no luck !

so the best 2 of them got BAYED for $120 and i kept the last 2 to DYE at some stage ..... WELLLLLLLL

the dying happend yesterday .... OMG !!!!!!!!!!

left them in for 24 hours at 95deg in an industrial oven we use for drying out motors and other crap .....

THEM BABYS ARE BLACK AS YOUR HAT !!!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL !!!!

will post a pic tomorrow of them , its a miracle !!!

BLACK AS BLACK AND NOS AS FUKK !!!!
OZZYBMX
they are going to replace my 7x chromes on my ripper as soon as i get a suitable schmick set 'o' hubs for them !!!
QuicksilverBMX
Yeah I picked up a NOS set of yellow Z's dated April 1981 for $50 hanging up in the shop. Had a few shop stains but they cleaned up well. Really wanted a Black set too and thought about dying the yellow ones then Bang! NOS pair hanging up in a country bike shop, $30! But I now have to find hubs to suit!

OZZYBMX
there is a shiny set of sunshines on ebay.au at the mo , trev/skippyrowse is selling them + a pro neck ... a double bumper would be nice !!!

alternative ... ginny rini black DX hubs at $50us or shimano HI flange for $50

hey quick , waith till you see these stained yellow BLACKKKKKKKKKK Z's , man im soooo happy with the result !!! its made my weekend , they were ready for the bin !!! or a $10 start on ebay with a terrible discription !

NOS PAT PEND Z's ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO !!!!
OZZYBMX
BTW , i already offered him to BIN both of them and he refused (sunshine hubs and pro neck), which means he is a serious seller with no greed for offers . which is good for us , i wouldnt take offers on my auctions but its good to try when you want something

Do any of you aussie oldschoolers have a pair of Araya 7x 24 x 1.75 rims, in either chrome, silver or gold? I'd prefer NOS, but mint used would suffice.

I'd much prefer to buy from Australia rather than the US or UK.

I need them for an upcoming cruiser build.
Kurt.
Okay fellas.

Finally finished my Hutch XL24.

Just a couple of pics - the rest are over on VBMX Talk.

Cheers Kurt

QuicksilverBMX
Well done Kurt! whats next?

tasty Hutch.

Victor DX pedals rule.
Kurt.
LOL Andy. Yep Victor DXs look OK from a distance - at least the end cap is grey. Not gonna use NOS DXs on a rider!

Prosight - If you have 24" Hutch forks, I'm interested (old ones bent)...PM me!

Reece - next is an '82 DB Senior Pro. Got Frame, forks, stem, bars, 7X rims, stickers & DB rad pads so far...

Cheers Kurt
