No mate. I'd love to but I have a million things to do around here. I can't afford the fuel anyway. Lifes a bit sucky at the moment.
proline2
oh yeah i have passion. my redline frame, forks and 401's are hopefully making their way to me now. i read somewhere today (i can't remember where) about somebody who hasn't received a frame from a ebay vender. well i **** myself cause i bought the 401's off the same bloke, so fingers crossed i havn't lost a substantial amount of cash.
i also read a lot of funny **** from you blokes as well. i've got to ask.....what the hell are you lot doing up at this hour anyway?
v8ute
i thought someone might have got a laugh out ofd that glen, lol
v8ute
i am always up late bud

dont stress, i have been dealing on ebay for a few years now and havent lost an item yet, 180 items purchased, about 80 percent from oberseas, just check feedback and anything else youy can find out first.
cant wait to see the redline, you had to tease us didnt you, lol
Kurt.
Hey welcome Proline.

Great bunch of guys on here - except v8ute. He/she is actually a 13 year old school girl who rides a purple 16" Huffy. Oh, yeah and she can't stand Mongeese or Quicksilvers. Isn't that right Anthony

Cheers from Tassie, Kurt
Jarvi
Welcome Proline2, I'm sure you have similar memories to all of us and that's what draws you back to BMX.

Dugga, yes there were some for $139 but they went really quickly. They were a hell of a bargain as they were a decent race bike for a starter and very cheap. Now what's the girl's toy call all about? Is there something I should know about them?

Also disappointed no one has commented on the reflectors n the wheels. I took the chainguard off bit couldn't be bothered going back out t the garage to get the pliers to get the wheel reflectors off. Also came with a Chi Lee front caliper that weighs about the same amount as the bike. Gotta love Australia rules about what has to be on the bike.

And some advice for people buying bikes for small kids. It doesn't matter what the bike looks like as long as the bell still works after 20 continuous rings. Imagine a few too many kids doing that in a warehouse and the noise nearly drove me to do a bit of culling of the population...

I've met v8ute and that's one unattractive 13 year old girl...

hey kurt

if mongeese is the plural of mongoose then wouldn't it be something like Quicksilvi (quick silv eye) ? Only kidding.

proline, it seems to me after being here a little while that there are no more quickies to restore 'cause these guys have done them all. There are heaps of them here.

as for the ebay thing, I got screwed on a DG F/F by gear3rd1 (Brett Kimble) aka third beer/third bear/ third gear/**** smear and any other name you could think of. he gennerally preyed on newbies to ebay.( it was my first purchase) I believe that the best thing to do is always pay via paypal then you have upto 45 days to reverse payment. if your item doesn't arrive within 20,ask them if they sent it and that if it doesn't arrive within 40 days of purchase date you regret you'll be forced to reverse the PP payment.if it doesn't arrive within 30 days tell them they have 1 week or you will reverse payment and give them negative feedback. Depending on how ****ed off you are and if your reversal was succsessful or not, you can also write about them on every bmx list you can find and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection in their state/ country, they'll contact you soon enough it's a small bmx world.

having said that he was my only rip off artist and I never did get that bike,Oh and there was a guy that sent me two red left hand oakley threes as a pair (anyone got a spare NOS right one?) asside from them bmxers are Honnest and upstanding.

usually my packages arrive from the states within a week, however I also know of items that have taken months.

I also always ask for postage with tracking and pay the extra.

hope thats helped.
proline2
i've been doing the ebay shuffle for a few years mostly locally for car parts and never had any dramas. just when i read that post about you not getting your frame i went oh **** (i put them in myself cause the forum would do it any way LOL).
anyway he reckons the 401's should be here in 5 to 7 days. so we'll see i guess.
the spending is rolling along nicely LOL i picked up a nice set of RL V bars this morning. anyone got a Brute stem lying around with my name on it LOL

i'll try and submit pics as the components come together. i've got a few grainy pics of my 1979 quicksilver and doing some jumps on my old proline from BITD but i'm not sure the clarity would be any good for this medium.
once again thanks for the warm welcome.

Anyone here know ebay seller RedlineDave?
I bought something of him 2 days ago and havent even had and email or reply to ones i've sent.
He's in Adelaide.
Kurt.
Hey Proline,
If the vendor quoted 30 days, sounds like it was sent surface mail. If it WAS sent surface mail, my experience is it can take about 3 months to Oz... I had a WW2 German Helmet sent once that I was sure went astray, due to the wonderful surface mail service. It turned up in the end but it's so nerve wracking that I always get parcels via Airmail nowadays.
Cheers Kurt
Kurt.
Her'es a pic of V8ute. You need to put a paper bag on his/her head...

prosight
Kurt i just love it, V8 look just like that for all you guy's and girls that have not met him.......LOL

v8ute
hey reece

i think thats the same guy that was bidding against me on an auction, he is a new guy, no brains, check to see what he has been buyin and sellin bud, i think he buys stickers, if its the same guy
v8ute
hey Kurt
economy air mail can take between 3-4 weeks too
Jarvi
Here's a couple of Supermaxcromo doing it old school style today at Eastfield. What you can't appreciate are the sound effects that went with this passing maneuver.

Jarvi
And a couple more. Always good when the top of the riders head is nearly out of the frame. Jonathon Hoare 19+ cruiser jumping the triples at the end of the first straight.

Crossriderozzy and Dugga in the 40+ cruiser also at the triples.

COASTY
Woah! Thats some big air on that cruiser. If I'm that high I'm usually out of control! lol. Nice shots James.
