In a couple minutes, Mike Harry and I will be leaving for CycleOregon. We will ride our Trek Madone’s approximately 500 miles over 7 days. The route is at www.cycleoregon.com.

Mike and I met at age 14 (freshman year) racing BMX at Blue Lake. 30 years later we ride again. this is my 7th time, his 11th time and our 5th together. Jay Graves, Owner of Bike Gallery, will be with us as well.

Over the next week, I will email photos from my Blackberry and have them posted as a travel log!

My favorite days will be days 3 and 4. Day 3 is only 69 miles, but it's up, around and down Crater lake. Day 4 is 100 miles with 85 of it downhill! Some of it at a 10% grade!

Our goals are to not crash, to make the entire route and to go 50 mph at least once. In 2005 we only hit 48 mph.

I hope you enjoy.

Ben

Ben, that is awesome. I would love to do a mult-day ride like that, especially in Oregon. Maybe next year. We need to start organizing some BMXer road rides/events. I just did the Austin Livestrong and it was such a great time.

Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Pep, The Madone still is amazing. 2 years into it and I love it. Light, solid, fast....

Elvis, Come out and ride one! Get healthy and come along!

InFamous, good for you on Livestrong. I rode 2 years ago. Lance was kind of a jerk and ridership fell off in Oregon.
