I rebuilding my boss' bike. It has 27" wheels that are trashed. He want's to stay with 27"ers but he want's something alot widerin the tire dept.

Any suggustions?

Ask at your LBS I'm sure they can order something from QBP.

Although, if you show him a "real" road tire he'll think he's running mountain bike tires-LOL.

I used to work in a Schwinn shop in the 80's. The Varsity had 27"x1 1/4" tires. If somebody had done a tire replacement on his bike at some point and gone to a 27"x1", you could bump back up to the factory spec size. If the bike has the stock size, you could possibly bump up to a 1 1/2" - but the bigger tire may have clearance issues with the chain stay.
