I have an 80's 49cm COLNAGO, such a small tight ride. I have ridden it both indoors and out and just love the feeling. Picture when I get home if I can reduce the quality of the pic. Currently in a bike box after a move. I never seen another. Nice bikes out there guys! biggrin.gif

I've got a couple, I have an old Panaracer fixie/coffee shop bike, and a new Felt Tk1:

Cool Felt set up! I decided to use the Velodrome loaner bikes once I end up going to the track. Otherwise, Id be laying out for a bike that would sit in my house and collect dust. Have enough of those already smile.gif

Quick update, I plan to train for a 1 mile time trial being held at the Velodrome in early march. Starting in earnest in January 09. Good times JD

My first Velodrome race

It's been a while since I first started this post! Well I finally picked a bike to buy (Fuji Track Pro) and have bee practicing at the Velo about 2-3 times a week. I got geared up to race last night and did well for myself. I did the mile in 2:38.38. Ill find out soon how I did in relation to the rest of my class, but on a time trial, it really is all you. Two of us were on the track at the same time, and I was desperate not to get lapped smile.gif Track racing is a lot of fun, go for it!

Jesboogie great to see you out there! My 17 year old son is training and racing at ADT 4 times a week now. He actually did a Crit a couple of weeks ago too. I am just happy that he is doing it on a bike! My son is on the white Cervelo and the black Giant. His best friend Brandon Cruz trains with him too. Brandon's Dad is a professional road racer and rode with Lance on Postal and Discovery; he is now on the BMC Professional Team.

Would love to ride on a wood track! Steep and deep

This is my first attempt at bike building. My friend Gene Spicer let me use his shop to make it happen. The tubes started off as 3 inch round, built a jig to deep oval shape them and it turned out great. What a fun ride it is, the cross winds will get your attention!

I am still getting out to the velo once or twice a week. I always do a few flying 200s cause I like to go fast. JD

XXX that Spicer is wicked! I've talked with Gene on the phone before. I have seen some of his work at the powdercoater off of Lynch Rd. My interest is peeked I may start looking for a roadbike to start. Do I have to shave my legs?
XXX
Not only do you have to shave your legs....also a little porno trim seems to be a big hit with the ladies wub.gif It`s not a bad knock around bike is it. We built a powdercoating oven, so that stuff gets done in house. The place you spoke of was ten kinds of bad news, actually nine times out of ten a complete disaster.... put out a great frame, and they would ruin it. I painted this frame as we were in between powder projects then. You would love a road bike, just put it big and let it eat.

XXX,

That frame is SWEET! Will you be making more?

I wanted a cool looking bike that looked fast sitting still... I like the way it turned out. It is a spin off of Gene Spicers track frames, but with very large ovalized tubes, relaxed headtube angle and pretty much road bike geometry. Will I build another one? I don`t know....it was pretty time consuming getting all of the tubes perfect, but, you never know.
