I have IRC Metro 26x1.5 tires on my MTB that I ride on the street. They are 100 psi tires and I like that the rolling resistance is minimal at the higher pressure. Anyway, I need to know of other brands and types for this same type of riding that some of you may have used since I cant get these local anymore. Thanks in advance.

Ritchey Tom Slicks, 1.0 or 1.4
Vredstein S-Licks, 1.3

I don't know if the Vredsteins are still available in the states, but they also come in blue, red, and black.

I got these from the LBS for 10 bux a pop...not the lightest, but they work good. They just say LHR 26x1.50 on the sidewalls.

yep...just make sure you dont get the tires that are for 26" 10-speeds/3-speeds or w/e. They are too big for MTB 26" wheels and you will be just playing a circus act when you go to install them. (jumping through the hoops) lol
The thing that bugs me after putting narrow road style tires on my cannondale MTB is now with the smaller than roadbike 44T bigger gear on front it feels like the gear is not hard enough for top end travelling(I do have a 8T on rear cluster too). I am leaving it on mine though because it makes me spin more and I use this bike to get a little BMX trainning on while commuting to work once in a while.

I road 5 x CycleOregon on a Bridgestone MB3 with Speciaized Fat boys. Thats 500 miles times 5. They worked great. In my mid 40's, I gave into the easy of a roadbike.
