My first one since breaking my collar bone and ribs in August last year. Y'know what? I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed riding my road bike! A quick visit to the bike shop for over shoes and it was out to play.
I only did an hour but it was so good, super relaxing and a great way to spend a cold, dry English winter day. I'm out again next weekend for certain! Gonna buy a new Campagnolo windproof jacket and some gloves this week and I'm already stoked for next weekend! I'll also take some pics of my bike and route, then post em' for all to see.
Anyone else forgotten what their road bike looks like?

with the right clothing, winter road riding is just as fun as in the summer! i have a pretty much corrosion-proof bad weather/winter bike set up just for that.

I remember what it looks like...every time I head to the basement to get my trainer. I have a vintage steel '88 Trek for the trainer so I don't put undue stress on my '04 Lemond.
I had to work today and it was 50 degrees in CT. Hope the weather holds through Wednesday when I have a day off, maybe I'll get on the road.
Ride safely,
J

Well, I went out again today and did 30 miles! I forgot my camera though so the pics will have to wait. I'm trying to figure out now if I can squeeze in some midweek rides now. The bug has bitten again!

I was out today, good weather. It was just good to get out there, especially since I've only ridden once since Oct

Hey Bill,
Having not ridden for ages like myself, did your legs really hurt afterwards and were you falling asleep about 9pm....? lol!
I'm definitely wanting to ride more now. When I rode the road bike previously my recovery rate after a moto was well up and the lactic acid burn wasn't as bad on the last straight leaving me more in the tank when everyone else was lagging.
Time to dig out the lights and the hi-vis jacket for after work rides methinks...

I couldn't walk up the stairs to my house. It was still all good

Is that a stainless steel Kabuki. I have one of those framesets that is a project.

Sometimes I forget about Ti being corrosion resistant.
