We are all bmx'ers, but just the exhistence of a TDF category here tells me that I can't possibly be the only one here who also rides road bikes.
Thought it might be a fun little thing to see what other old BMX'ers are riding on the street.
What's your current road machine?
Mine:
Waterford R-33 full custom True Temper S-3

Waterfords are great bikes. Nice people make them, too.
Litespeed Tuscany, Time fork, Dura-ace, Mavic wheels.
Surly cross-check, Ultegra/XT.

Dave,
We've seen that picture before, and it made me jealous last time..lol!
My road ride is a Bianchi with Campag Veloce groupset, Carbon forks and seat stays. I can't remember the model name though but its in the 120th anniversary colours. Its a sweet bike which I could ride all day long.
The weather here is so bad at the moment I can't get out and ride at all which is very frustrating so its all about the gym for me for the next few weeks.
First chance I get though, I'm out there!

Roadie: 2004 Lemond Zurich, full Ultegra, Velomax Orion II wheelset, Selle Italia ProLink GelFlow saddle.
Trainer/foul weather: 1988 Trek 400T, basically stock with RX100 crankset.
Bike that got me hooked: 1984 Bianchi Squadra- Columbus tubing with Campy. Bought it at a yard sale in late 2002 for $20, got hit by a car in late 2003 and bought my Lemond mid-2004.
Fixed gear: 1983 Trek 500, Shimano 105 (165mm) crankset, Suzue hubs I laced to Ambrosio rims, cheapo bull bars, etc.
I also have a few 60's and 70's Musclebikes.

New to the road here. I got a Softride Powerwing a year or two ago on Ebay. Haven't put many miles on it yet, but it seems to ride well.

Lots of nice bikes guys! I have a custom Ryffranck made by Pete Ryffranck out of Canada. Its lugged steel, Columbus ELOS with Henry James lugs and drop outs. I would say it is on par with a Richard Sachs. Campagnolo 9speed Chorus group. My other ride is a early 90's Diamond Back MTB with Suntour microdrive components. Bought it at a pawn shop for about a hundred bucks!

I had been a roadie for 25 years before my kids starting racing BMX. I quickly found out that 100,000+ miles on the road and dozens of crits and road races were of absolutely no value on the BMX track!!
Current main ride is a Trek 5200 OCLV with Campy Chorus; fixed gear is my old (1984) Columbus SP custom frame (M-Cycles) with Campy Nuevo Record. I've modernized a 1981 Bianchi for my daughter's use with mid-90's Chorus components. And I've got my first love, 1975 Mercian (Reynolds 531) that I toured on from Portland, OR to NC and later raced on, hanging from the ceiling in my office. Can't bear to get rid of this stuff!!

This bike fits me too good and rides too nice to replace...

This is cool.
I had no idea that so many of us are just as much into road as we are into bmx.
Around here, the only bmx'er other than myself who I know of ever doing any significant road mileage is Howard Smith.
And most of the other people from the BMX world don't know that he even owns road bikes.

Current ride is a sweet Scandium frameset with Eason Carbon stays and a Reynolds carbon forks with full Dura Ace grouppo.
Howver, my current project is a 1963 Legnano Roma which I recently got back from the mahicians at Cyclart. I have all the components for it and will be my crown jewel of my road collection (next to my Hetchins of course)

I have the snakes old road bike which currently is a pretty scuffed up custom steel Wanta w/ Campy on it. If you guys remember I ate it on my bike this summer & haven't touched it since. Oh yeah......the snake (Mark) has turned into roadie scum! Too special to race BMX anymore?

man, i'm almost as bad with road bikes as i am with BMX .
workhorse/all-waether bike is a Ti GT frame/ouzo pro fork/10spd Dura Ace 'cuz it's all pretty impervious to the elements.
race bikes (if that ever happens again!!) an '03 Orbea some sort of columbus aluminum that was supposed to have been a Euskaltel team training bike that the team never got - 10spd D/A. and a reynolds 853 GT custom i got from the old Saturn team - 9spd D/A.
GT TT (full aero) 8spd D/A. don't really ride it much anymore' cuz technically it's no longer a "legal" frame , but it is fun and fast!
my "ride it on sundays like an old man" bike - a Ti Eddy Merckx "millenium 3" (merckx's 20th anniversary). 9spd D/A.
plus a bunch of other frames including a colnago master x-light and several more GT/Saturn custom. one is painted and decaled as a reynolds 853 frame ('cuz that was their sponsor), but is actually 6/4 and 3/2.5 Ti.
WARNING:BMX GUYS!!
don't get caught up in road bikes like you have with BMX...it is way more expensive! this will be your significant other's reaction if you do .

Well if I'm not riding my Peugeot PSV 10 I am riding my Peugeot PGN 10. Both race bikes are from the 80's. PSV 10 has Mavic Tubulars and the PGN 10 has Mavic Clinchers. The PSV 10 has mostly StrongLite parts and the PGN 10 has mostly Campy parts.
I do have two mountain bikes from the 90's. Giant and Jamis.
BMX I have a Vector, Takara and GT from the 80's and hopefully I will be getting a 2006 cruiser.
One day I will upgrade my road bikes and just enjoy my Peugeots for a nice Sunday ride.
