Any pics or scans of cataloques or your bikes? For all the models...I don't know anything about these bikes except for a few names. Specifically: Aluminum Supergoose, Expert, Californian, Hooligan...you get the idea. I'm looking for a 25cent education in Mongoose(race an freestyle).
Thanks an Happy Holidays!!!

Please Help....
Motor City Mongoose
I have `89 catalog (first year of the "wishbone" frame"), and then a `97 catalog-nothing in between, but I think from `94 to `98 they were basically the same.

What exactly are you looking for? I can send you page by page scans, but it will probably lock up your computer faster than Rosy O'Donel at a cheese convention.

Thanks for responding Dave. Basically I would need to know the good and the bad for race an freestyle.
Starting from the best for race: Aluminum Supergoose, Cali, Expert....That sound right? or any other models in there?
Freestyle...what would be the name..starting from best to entry level.
Lastly I know these bikes are not collectable(at least yet)...just wondering if they are any good?

Here are a couple of pics of my 1990 Californian Pro. It is in survivor condition and has undergone some upgrades since these pics were taken.

Here's a pic of the frame & fork when I first got it. I also got the original bars, Stem and seat.

The bikes in question are a little newer than these..I would say early 90's (91-93).
Anyone have any scans?
Are these bikes you guys have pictured considered a wishbone frame?
Thanks for the help, Chris

The bikes pictured above are wishbone frames....Equlateral wishbone to be exact.
I think I know what frames you are talking about, I used to own a 1991 Mongoose Expert Comp. It was chrome with yellow and blue decals printed on foil and the bikes came stock with Mongoose "GooseBump" tires that had something of a directional tread pattern.

Actually, the wishbone frame is not like the one above, although they both were born in the same year (1989). The wishbone is more like a classic looptail Mongoose, but the rear triangle is inverted. Here's a pic of the `89 Supergoose:

The next generation BMX frames were the Solution/Supergoose/Experts like these:

Followed by the Newman style like this:

I'm not sure when the alloy Solution/Supergoose/Expert style frames started, but I think it was around `93 or `94 and ended in `98. The above scans are from `97.

I know `99 was the first year of the Newman style, but the SGX scans are probably from `03ish.

Hey motor I hear someone gave you a good deal on a mongoose? Who was that dude? Hey post some pics already, LOL

Yeah it was sweet, that dude rocks (THANKS ANT!!!). It's a Supergoose Comp. Here's the bike:

And here it is next to a Supergoose Pro I picked up off Craigslist:

I think they are `96's.
