Well, not sure if it qualifies as a score as I paid good money for it. Been working with the seller a while and finally got to see it this morning. He started out at $150, but I ended up getting it for $90 (hope I didn't get in too high).
Let me know what you guys think.
Details:
Double Cross XL serial # 109438
Arayas
GT cranks
DK stem
Powerlite bars
Nice hubs (anybody ID them for me?)

Overall this one should make a real nice rider, or maybe this will be the one to put me back on the track...

Thanks for the ID on the hubs guys. They were a bonus as the seller never mentioned them in his description.
Glad to hear I did OK at $90.
Here are the full bike pics:

Steve,
Nice score! I have a Double cross xl and I never buy complete bikes and I would of snatched that up!!.
Yes those are Tnt hubs.
If you want a set of pads there is a blue and a black set with that style script on ebay right now.
Starting price is hyalf of what you paid for the bike. LOL!!!!

Joker,
No more scores for a while...I'm out of $. lol.
Nbl,
Thanks for the tip on the pads. I'd really like to have the blue set, but I've spent all my stash money for now. I see the seller also has a full Double Cross listed (wonder what the reserve is set at?).
As much as I like to hunt out these old bikes, I might have to stop looking until I squirrel away a few more bucks; it would kill me to find something killer and not have the scratch to grab it.

What I really think, is that you should convert THIS bike to a gravitybike, and ship me all the parts you take off...hehehe
I'd be happy to supply/trade some Gbike parts for your build.

Joker,
Thanks for the offer, maybe if I fall off my downhill board and hit my head again I might take you up on it, LOL.
Funny you should mention the gbike, I've had the Schwinn in my workstand for the past week and everytime I walk by it it grows on me. I've decided to keep it as is (but give it a GOOD CLEANING).
Believe it or not, I've gotten too many bikes in too short of a time and am having a hard time sneaking them all past my wife. I had to hide the Elf in the rafters this morning and the GT and the Cyclecraft are stashed under a blanket by my workbench. If she catches me I may be sending you ALL of them. lol.
Steve
Downhill board eh?
Streetluge eh?
I probably failed to mention that I don't skate, or luge, but I do have a close working relationship with the Rogers Bros.

Downhill board, yes.
Streetluge, yes.
all kinds of other toys to hurt myself with, yes.
Does my wife think I'm an idiot, yes.
The Rogers Brothers are my idols...I would just about kill for one of their luges. I am envious...tell me more.

Finally got the time to finish up the ELF.
Not 100% era correct or show quality, but I wanted to make it my main rider and funds were short, so it got what I had available.
Fun Stuff. It's nice to finally have a bike that fits me.

Is that the Kmc chain in anodized purple? I have been thinking about one for a long time but I just bought something a lot more rare in purple to add to my collection..

Always liked the double crosses. Nice looking bike.
I have to do the same with my wife . My frames are starting to pile up so I have to find spots to "hide" them.

Glad you guys like it....I'm seriuosly thinking about giving it a shot at Bensalem BMX in the spring if they are still operating. This bike will motivate me to train during the winter so I'm not such a creampuff when I hit the track.
Nbl 49a,
Yes, it's a purple KMC, not sure if it is ano or a coating though. My lbs had it and I like to throw them whatever business I can (grips, chain, cable) even on a budget build just for support.
Steve
That's nice stuff Steve.
Good inspiration for me to keep going on my own project.

Steve,
Can you shoot a close up of the chain? Maybe front sprocket area. I just want to see this chain on a sprocket.

Stephen, you won't like the chain with the purple sprocket. looks great with the silver one though. I had a blue chain with my blue sprocket on my limo, I took it off quicker than I put it on! the colors didn't match and having them meet didn't look good so it had to go.

Steve, Thanks for the pics and the message.
Jacob, Yeah I was worried about that and that was why I asked for a sprocket pic.
So now I am even more happy with my recent purchase of colored nos bling.
