I know not too long ago Yeti was making some of the Schwinn mountain bike frames. However, did Yeti ever make any of the Schwinn BMX frames?

I know they did the Schwinn Homegrowns but I don't think any BMX frames came out of Yeti.

schwinn owned yeti, for a while.

If I recall correctly the schwinn xs frames were manufactured by controltech BITD. This was at the time that schwinn made their comeback of sorts with the Foster brothers. The Yeti purchase came after that, and it didn't take long for schwinn to take their frame building overseas anyway. I have seen a Yeti-built MTB, but never heard of a Yeti-built BMX.

The last American Schwinn BMX was the Van Homans. We made them, in fact I got a new one someplace in the shop.

Yeti - or someone in the US (Schwinn/SCott Boulder Colorado ?) - supposedly manufactured the Schwinn Pro Modified BMX frames ***. These were sold sometime around the late 90's.
.
The Pro Mod frames featured CNC machined seat stay, wishbone, BB shell, and headtube.
.
.
*** Not Pro Stock or Pro whatever - but Pro Modified. The Pro Modified frames were (much) more expensive than the other 'Pro' models.
.
I believe there was another similar Schwinn BMX frame that was also hand made in Colorado - just before the Pro Modified - the Schwinn ENF. I believe this frame was introduced sometime around 1995.

I *thought* that Yeti did indeed produce some of those Pro Mod's......but that's my faded memory talking out loud.

The "Control Tech" frames.........two of them are right here in Utah. I saw one tonight as a matter of fact at indoor practice.
It seems to me that there was only a handful of those Control Techs produced, under 5? Anyways, I rode one of then & they are sweet.
