What cranks would be correct for this bike. I have 3 piece cranks, but I think they are too "new". Pics would be helpful.
Also, anyone have the decals for this.....like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Thanks

yeah decals are super hard to find, i could find a needle in texas sooner than a set of decals.

either the profile made ones or the aluminum power series ones....... came on the 90's
stickers ramdomly appear on ebay so thats the only way you'll get those.
i do have a 98 pro series frame thats new. id just prefer a 95 or 96 that used canti-(normal)brakes and the 7/8 seatpost.

going thru some of my old dealer stuff...
by 1998 all the CRMO race bikes were reduced to the "3rd" position down in GT's line. the "pro series" was now only offered as a complete bike and came with 1-pc cranks.
the "speed series team" bikes had the profile/gt cranks, and the regular "speed series" and "power series" had the alloy FSA/ gt cranks.

yeah my 98 frame is made in taiwan too.... which was a bummer when i opened its box.
i might end up selling it. it has some weird seatpost size, and i can't find forks, DX v-brakes, DX hubs (90s) or anything so i might scratch the project.

carl - the seatpost on those '98s is 26.6mm.

Forks are on ebay time to time. DX hubs and brakes are easy to find.

the sr made gt power series aluminum cranks would be the appropriate ones for a 1990.
im also building a 1990 gt pro series!

Here's an almost exact bike, I kept my forks chrome, frame is black. Different color stem and parts though.
These are the decals I'm looking for.

At some point during 1990 they changed from the chrome ones, like the ones on the museum, to the ones in this auction.
Pro Series Decals In my BMXA's and Plus's the ads in the spring show the chrome ones and in about August the change the ads to these.

Yeah, I was watching that auction. I'm gonna try to win it......we'll see. Mine is actually a November 89 manufacture date, and a high number at that. So early 90 bike release I'm guessing. Kastanman, thanks for the info about when they changed over.

I had a 1991, I think, back during that year when I raced. I had Redline 401 cranks on mine.
