Hey guys, i just got home from aquiring this beauty and I wanted to show it off.

My pic of the dropouts didn't come out but they are near perfect! No cracks, dings, or rewelds anywhere. In fact theres hardly even any real scratches on it. Some polishing and decals and it should look almost nos.
This will be my first real bmx build. All my other bikes are freestlyers. Anyone have any idea what year this is? The guy said it was early 90's
Also where can I get some decals? Theres only one set on the bay lately and I dont like the color.
OH yeah, got it for $80
At least I think its a score.

First of all homeboy, you need an all in one remote!
Great score. Looks early 90's by the brake posts. Bill is in the middle of doing the repro authentic decals. My advice (besides the remote) is gather parts & wait for the decals to be done.

Kerry, just so you know. Scott is not only a collector of vbmx's but a collector of fine remotes...

Great score. I'd love to have a US made PK with cantis. My guess was 95-99. I thought chainstay Pitbulls were used until 93 or 94.

I gotta go with Paperboy,
It has canti studs and is probably 1 &1/8 th threadless headset so 95-99
here is my early 90's XL with 1" threaded and pitbull brakes

Nice score btw

That was going to be my next question is what forks to use. Not having any experience with either bmx or newer stuff in general, how do i know if I need to get the 1 1/8 threadless forks or 1" threaded?
All my old freestyle stuff is easy, its all 1" threaded.
On a side note, the funny thing with all those remotes is that I only really use one.
hhmmmmm I maybe I should go old skool with them and have Chip powder some in 80's colors.

Ya, it's a 95-99 which would be 1 1/8" threadless. You can still buy the correct gray drip decal sets on ebay. A guy named mitsuman on there sells nos ones all the time still. Nice frame.

Holy cow. You are still alive. Haven't seen you around much.
Correction though. I now only have 5
1) JU6
2) round top tube loop PK
3) 2 regular loop PK's
4) 92 PK XL
Unfortunately, the rest had to go to free up money for a car.

Sweet frame there rcrscott!
I don't want to hijack this thread, but that black PK of Dingo's does it for me. Love the colors and the white seat.

Nice frame! Those are my favorite P.K. frames ever made. For $80, you got one heck of a deal!

It'll be built soon enough.
Of course i need some Landing Gear's and decals first.
I'd actually like to build it kind of "retro new school" i'm thinking, but since it'll be my first non-freestyle build I'm not sure just what to do with it yet.
