He list the bars as dk fred'z bars. At least he's half right. I think they are dk bars, but it's hard to tell from the pics.

it's amazing how some think their stuff is made from diamonds, and that it's sooooo rare...
they tend to have very little knowledge of what they're selling, and think if they have never personally seen another one, it must be rare...

I will never understand why people start auctions with such a high opening bid. They rarely get a bite even. Why would you not start low & have a reserve?

Probably a newcomer to the whole 'vintage bmx' trend and to ebay marketing in general... He sees a Trickstar go for mad $ and gets a bright idea that the bike he has is 'vintage' also.

Not exactly a newcomer to eBay or BMX, it looks like...his store is all BMX stuff, and he has a gajillion feedback points. His new stuff isn't priced insanely, but it's a little steep...new Flights for $175 (I guess they do have a sprocket)...with "Vintage" in the headline. Um, since when are twin pinch flights vintage?

The thing that kills me about the Holmes listing is it says it "just might be the first year." Do a little research before you think your flogged-upon bike is the holy grail. Besides, didn't the Holmes originally have 990 mounts on the chainstays? (Or even a caliper style bridge?)

yea, that thing's been up for sale for a while. what a jack. it doesn't even have the full set of haro group one fade rippoff stickers that were the orig. set that you can tell by the head tube adn seat tube that are still on there. if they were. and everything was mint mint mint i'd probably be a stepper at $1200.

ant i saw your bike listed. if i see anyone looking for one in the local hood i'll pass the word along
