Updated the Dirtbike a bit. Got the stickers on, straight seatpost and put the pitbull back up top(works much better).

Are those Plazmatic brake pads? If so, how are they working out, and have you tried them on a chrome rim?

I was wondering why these bikes are so expensive and why everyone wants them so bad. Not being a smart ass at all just wondering if there's something extra neat I haven't learned yet that's all. I like that they are just a normal bike thats kinda cool to me.

its the badass, motherlickin, punk rock, and anarchy heritage that makes them special too,
it really marked a change in the WHOLE bmx scene thats still present to this day,

I have damaged knees and ankles... the zytel tuffs are the only way I can street ride anymore because they absorb shock. I built this bike to ride, not to show.

Digging this thread up w/ a pic of my '00 S&M 24 and '98 Challenger w/ 990s both in a raw finish, Challenger bars, stem, and decals along w/ I'm guessing a rare S&B (Shaun Butler) shield sticker?!?! I'm just looking for a pair of Challenger forks to start my build wink.gif .

How often do the Kris Bennett bikes come around? I am curious to see if there are any out there. I can only remember the black one with the white red sticker combo. It's one of the few bikes I wanna build, aside from an older powerblue Hoffman Taj.

I know that bike is sick as FACK......... I don't mind it not being completely era correct. It's sweet regardless.

Thanks guys! I wanted to lighten the load, when I got it (spray bombed blue as above) it weighed in at: 35.86 pounds without pegs
Its now 31.82 with pegs! I ride it so I wanted it as light as possible. Im waiting for a few different parts, when Ive fitted them Ill post new pics. Im considering using kevlar beaded tyres to lower the weight a bit more. I could use a pivotal seat and post also but I like this fit seat.

about time i finished this. been a while since i have done anything. it's a '96 DirtBike. got this frame from a friend a while back. He used to race/trails/street on it back in the late 90's. I had to have some chain rub and chainstay/dropout grind scuffs on the frame TIG'd-in. then i grinded/sanded the spots down and had it powdered yellow. just cosmetic stuff. i even made sure the chain and freewheel were era correct. arent I a good boy... sorry the pix came out fuzzy cuz its cold out and i forgot about that effect on the lens. i just ran out & in with bike and cam without fartin' around much...damn nippy out there right now.

Actually, I wouldn't put Tuff's on it either but I respect the man's right to do with his bike what he wants.
