I found these photos on a Japanese bmx website, under what seemed to be all the newschool bike checks. It said the cranks were Profiles but I think we all agree they're Prince Alberts.
Like the one above but 24".

That looks like one of the original 25 Basset cruisers like mine and old skulls. That is only the third one I've seen. Was there any other info about it on the website you found it on? Like the serial number?

dan- I've been droolin' on your bikes over at raduk. Nice job! When I found clear Longnecks for my Widow I almost threw some stickers under em too, but I couldn't wait to ride it so I just put em on that night.
Now my Holmes and Widow are currently getting a make over...

Built this up last night. I had the seat laying around so it is going to be changed out along with the pedals. Cool bike to ride around but that front end does not want to come up to save my life.
Break down:
DB F&F (I have know idea what year it is)
Redline single pinch flights
MX 901 (I have a set of Pitbulls but they do not fit on the frame. The adjuster actually hits the seat post tube)
Cracked Redneck stem
STD strip bars
Clear Jive handels
Weinman rims with DX cass. hubs ( not to sure about these. Have a pair of GT 48 Mohawks)
Kenda comp 3's
No name seat post clamp and post
POS Diamondback seat

Awsome Dirtbike! It's a 92 or 93. That's strange about the Pitbulls not fitting, maybe try running an old Odyssey Pozi-stop with the Pitbulls?
If it's hard pulling her up, throw some taller bars on there. Slams...

Hey guys. Just thought I'd toss a couple crappy pictures in the hat.
The Old Guys. '95 or '96 Holmes (very last of the threaded) and '93 Dirt Bike in Chocolate Brown.

New Purchase. '94 or '95 Holmes with later Decals. Got this guy a Pitch Fork and Green Redneck.

'94? Dirt Bike Frame with Pitch Fork and Black Redneck. Crappy Picture I know.

I just got a few Slam Bars, a Ditch Fork, and some seats among other bits, so things should be fun this winter.

here it is, my new Widow. the chrome is awesome, but its missing the top tube decal. all of the other decals are pretty much perfect. the v brake is coming off and another brake is going on. havent made up my mind yet which brake i will use. i finally scored some Prince Alberts to replace the redline cranks that are on here currently. PA's need paint and will be added soon. im trying to decide on a sprocket also. any suggestions? so, brakes, sprocket and paint on the PA's and i think i will leave well anough alone. well, different tires are in order also.
P.S. anyone have a top tube decal for me? please!

Did anyone (including s&m) decide to produce some stickers for the earlier frames and pitchforks?
Nbl 49a
Dec 10 2007, 12:53 AM
The story I heard from someone who did or still does work in the sales dept at S&M was they were going to produce them again and they were going to be handed out at Interbike then sold-this was before the S&M anniv party. All the boys from Kore Bike Ind except myself went to Interbike and I heard nothing so I don't think it came together. However the stickers that were being done may have been the re issue or old stock pitchfork stickers that were handed out at the S&M 20 yr anniv party. If I ever hear more info on this I will of course pass it on.

seann, that "murray style" Holmes was the same style Holmes I had BITD with the bent seat stays at the seat tube. Is it a 92 or 93? Mine arrived from dans comp w/ the neon "Haro style" stickers. I quickly took them off.

Seems to be a very rare frame, as I've seen one on e bay and now yours...I wish I never sold mine

Not sure why the guy was running the pitbulls on a bike with 990 mounts, wonder if he ever thought about what those funny looking nubs were on the chainstays. They will be replaced with 990's soon as well as replacing the challenger fork with a pair of pitchforks. The challenger fork looks just like the earliest holmes fork, but with single thick dropouts. The murray holmes was one of my best friends bikes and was in perfect condition when I bought it from him BITD, I always rode his hand me downs. Was yours the yellow one that was up for sale about a year ago?
