Two things.
1) Anyone got pictures of 20" Moshes from early to late 90s? I'm specifically looking for one my friends and I dubbed "The Blue Mosh" when we were kids(I'm only 19). I know it's a Mosh Pro XL, came in a navy blue stock(if I remember correctly), and should be about '97-'98.
2) I keep hearing references to Kastan and Mosh, and Kastan doing framework for a lot of companies, including Mosh? What are the exact details on this?
Oh, and if anyone has forks for a 20" '97 Mosh, I may have need of them soon.
If I'm not mistaken the late 90's Mosh's (Giant) were Kastans. As in they were pretty much identical.

So the late 90s Moshes were all made by the company Kastan, and any late 90s Kastan would look very similar to a Mosh of similar year?

Kastan ended. Kastan made Mosh. Still had Kastan stamped on the inside of rear dropout. Difference between Mosh and Kastan at a glance, integrated seatclamp bolt was facing towards the back on a Kastan, towards the front on a Mosh. There are also dropout design differences, gusset differences, welds and so forth. Mosh later sold to Giant all the way. No more Kastan made stuff. Safe to say Kastan was done in 98. I have a pic of a restored 20 but cannot post for a couple of weeks. Away from home on business.

I bought a couple of the Pro XL f&f's a few months ago, one polished, one in flat black. Built up the flat black one and liked it so much, I bought a 24" version.
The serial # on the polished one ends in 00066, so I'm thinking it's a keeper.
Hope you got stickers for yours. I found a set for the polished one, but can't find ones for the flat black. They're gold glitter, so reproduction of them will be difficult!!
My polished frame:

The flat black one (this was the intial build, it'll eventually have red rims/spokes/hubs, whitewalls and a seat covered with Mexican blanket material ala Rat Rod style!!)

Rob: Those look awesome! The one I should be getting is all chrome, and the stickers are on it, and appear to be good condition, but we'll see more when I get it in.
1986Redliner: I'd love to see that one too. Maybe we'll turn this thread into a mid/new-school Kastan/Mosh show-off!

I had bought this one for 15 bucks at a police auction but recently gave it away to a kid who needed a new bike

not all Mosh frames were made by Kasten. in fact, most were not.
Mosh was alway a Giant thing, from Day One. Giant created the Mosh branding to try to separate there BMX program from everything else.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7247050380And here we are, the Mosh I just won.
Can anyone tell me anything about it(ie, is the year correct?) from the pictures? I should have it in a week and then I can get better pictures. I plan to build her up very nicely.
Still need forks for this one, though. Anyone?
