He did a show in my town when i was a kid * as read in my previous thread * and thats the last i have ever heard of him. he is from chicago area so he is a local IL man. just curious i guess

Dude made some money doing backflips on a motorcycle in the early 90's....
ELF_DUDE
yeah never got any recognition for it these new guys are getting the fame for it all over freestyle motocross as the first ones to do it.

Bob had cool style! One of my favorites was the front tire kick and superman airs! He also rides goofy footed, pedal position left foot front, right foot back airing out to the left side. I ride the same way.

Eddie Roman might have contact info for him. Look up "Eddie Roman Studios" to contact Eddie. I haven't rode with Bob in 17 or so years. The last time I saw him was at Hoffman's death in the desert contest....... back when crashing every jump got you first place!

did bob win

1st Bob, 2nd Matt Hoffman, 3rd Dennis McCoy, 4th Chad Herrington, 5th Stephan Prantl.
Bob pulled 2 tricks and slammed 3. The funniest thing for me was a single judge that gave me straight zero's across the board for pulling all my tricks! Every other judge, than him, had me in first place! I didn't get to see the score sheets until later in the evening. I pointed out the obvious bias scoring by the one judge and Matt said it was already to late so it didn't matter.
The same event had Jay Miron winning over Dennis McCoy's flawless miniramp run. Jay tried 4 flips on the mini, crashed every single one, pulled absolutely nothing and got 1st!

i remember seeing bob attempting double backflips in the mid 90's at one of the early BS contests at Scrap skatepark...insane.

Some footage from Ride On. The first 2 flip crashes, in the video clip, were my first ever flip attempts during practice the day before the contest. For obvious reasons I didn't go for a flip during that contest. sarcastic_hand.gif
I correct myself. When I said, Bob pulled 2 tricks and crashed 3, he only pulled the no handed flip. I was counting the 1/2 bar spin 3 as pulled but forgot that he had crashed it also. Double back flip attempt that ended up as an over rotated single flip to back flop....... My flip crashes were pretty nice, but Bob also wins the hardest flip slam for the weekend!!!!! wink.gif

He was a cool dude. I remember him double peg grinding this mega steep, gnarly, 12+ stair rail. At that time no one was doing rails like this.............except for him cool.gif !
