To me he defined flat in the "dark day's". I saw him at a show in jersey round 94-95. He was real cool to talk to. even hung out with him a little. For a guy so tall he was good. Can someone point him to this site. I also remember this so called "thing" between him and chase. I think it was fueled by other riders. form the times i met trevor, he seemed like the type of guy who just wanted to ride. he did DOMINATE flat for a couple of years.
nintendoninja
he's probly riding his dyno slammer in some parking lot somewhere...

He's here in Minnesota the last I heard. I know he's still doing shows (I'm not sure who for.) and I think Tom Haugen still runs into him.

I think a Dyno would be way to small for him. Moliterno made him a custom 22" Lenghty once. For flatland!

Trevor Meyer now lives (or at least owns a house) in Scott, Arkansas. NO LIE!! He wanted to get away from the north and live in a place were it only snows like a week out of the year. He is still riding for GIANT, and as far as I know he is riding a custom made Sick Child frame with "GIANT" stickers.

He is still doing shows for Giant for the NBA so he is on tour a lot. I am from Arkansas and run a local website for the scene down here. My friend Danny is one of the few flatlanders down here, he's friends with Trevor.

Tom Haugen and I have become "friends" via email over the past few years, haven't met him yet; but plan to. We exchange emails from time to time. Matter of fact, I commented on a line he did in the DIRECTION video "manual to dumptruck" late he emailed me when Lossey asked him to do it for a photo shoot.

I'm more than a little frightened at the thought of a 22" Lengthy.

Trevor seemed to take flatland even further away from "normal" bike riding to me, especially when he switched to direct drive. Don't get me wrong, I like watching guys like Paul Osicka and Chase, but I feel like "advancements" such as super-short frames, super-low gearing and zero-setback/zero-sweep bars and forks (what's the point of doing tricks with the bars flipped when there's no difference) are kinda cheating. I mean, sure, you can do plenty of tricks, but can you actually ride your bike more than a block? It's basically not a bike anymore.

My favorite flatland section in any video has to be Jay Miron's in "BMXMen"—on his Chicago-barred, 45t grindguard sprocket-havin', freewheel-equipped, 35-plus pound vert bike. He pulled some pretty advanced stuff too, if I remember correctly.

I have nothing to contribute other than a few shots I took of Trev. a couple of years ago.

Nuthin.

As usual, the STRIKE shots rock the house!

What the heck is he doing on a ramp!?

I remember when Chase wanted to beat him for "stealing" his tricks.

Here's a link to Trevor and I on a local 'zine. He was 13 or 14 and were both using coaster brake!

Ah yes, the ramp. Well, he had become friends with some skaters who had rich parents. They had their own personal indoor skatepark, funbox, mini-half, mini quarters...really a nice layout.

Anyway, Trevor was granted access to this place so he could ride through the winter. Seeing as how he spent so much time there, he couldn't help but start riding the 6' mini. The next time I came to visit him, had learned to fly out and ride in.

I figured that Trevor on a ramp would make a novel photo.

Great rider.

Check out Diversion 4. It has a great section with him at the end.

Trevor is to be found on the new Intrikat video pulling all my favorite newschool flatland tricks that I don't know the names to!!
Aggrodad
anybody know what kind of pegs Trevor is sporting in those pictures? they look cool! what's up with his bars, they look normal, I thought he always rode tall bars?
jlw515
I think those are HUCH Industry pegs made by Lee Edwards (not to be confused with Hutch bikes).

Also, I may be wrong about this, but I don't think that it is that Trevor rides tall bars as it is that he rides customized tall forks. That is, forks with really tall steering tubes. I saw a pic of his bike back when he was still on Mongoose, and he had all these weird spacers between his headseat and his stem.

I mean HUCK pegs

Here are a couple shots that'll give you an idea of just how high his stem is clamped onto his fork's steerer tube.

Trevor is definitly a cool guy. I was there and video taped so much of him riding here in MN. about 4 -5 years ago. Even when he first go the direct drive, that was really cool. Then when he took the direct drive off, he learned all those tricks again..

I have his Dyno frame and fork, the dark red one, right here.. Signed... I bought it from him..
4130_nasa
I have his 11 inch rise bars, signed. I think they came off of that Dyno Frame.

I have a video of him signing it also.
