Here's a pic of my old workhorse, a mid 90's Redline PL-24al (aluminum) cruiser. One of the best bikes I've ever owned. It's marked "made in USA" in several places, and they were sold new as being US manufactured. I don't doubt that it is, as the quality of this frame/fork is up there with anything I've ever owned, new or old school. BUT, I always thought that Redline moved production overseas back in the 80's? Do they still have a US manufacturing plant? What other newer (within the last 15-20 years!) models were US built?

redline had some frames made by Control Tech (in the US) in the mid '90s. they made flight cranks for them, as well.

What is Control Tech?
Control Tech is a company that does it's main business in MTB & Road. They make m/a seatposts, stems & such.... like Thomson, but CT was more popular in the late 80's early 90's.
I seem to remember Redline doing a lineup of framesets that were 6061, U.S. made & had the integral seatclamp. The year after the frames didn't have the built in clamp and were made from 7005 overseas. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.
