My favorite BMX tires from the late 80's. I used to run on my bike. I've been looking but, haven't seen any.
Next time your at your LBS see if they have any renagades.
If you can find them I'll buy them.
Thanks

My all time faves:
[*]Peregrine HP 1.75 skinwall
[*]ACS RL Edge 1.75 skinwall
[*]Panaracer Freestyle 1.75 skinwall
Now riding:
[*]Kenda Kontact 1.75 skinwall (Vmonster-ish tread)
[*]Kenda KFS 1.75 skinwall (shameless ACS RL Edge copy tread & looks with soft compound)
[*]Primo Vmonster 1.75 skinwall (i wish the 1.75 skinwall would still be in production cause it is was closest i could get to RL Edges/Peregrines after their disappearance)
IF i had a choice, i would run nothing else than either RL Edges or Peregrines but since they're so rare and hard to come by i'm forced to use crap like Kenda and Primo. And even if i did found a set, they would be too expensive for actual riding.
Now someone please, please start making decent tires again with low profile, skinwalls and 1.75 width. I'm sick of all-black fat tires. In my opinion they simply don't match with any mid/old school rider/project.

When I ran 1 3/8 I preferred the Panaracer dirt tires (I don't remember the name), but for 1.5/1.75 I always liked the Comp IV tires. When I couldn't find them, the old faithful Mitsubushi Comp III was always a great tire.

I used to run skinwall comp III tires. I don't remember who made them though.

espee - Tri-Cross were made by Specialized - they were a favorite of mine and my whole team ran them. I have been looking for a set for some time now.. no luck

Plain old Comp III's, most of the time the imitations. 20X2.125 up front and a 1.75 in the back. Street, ramps, dirt, racing, Reading Skatepark, whatever.
Never had a problem with them, cheap, and easy to come by.

With Matt on this one. Comp 3's for everything. I rode on 1.5's BITD.

I'm going to be trying out a new pair of Haro street tires on my most current driver build. I think they are called Haro Catipult ? Comp III's are awesome for dirt but too aggressive for street. Does anyone remember the "singing" noise that the old snakebellies used to make on asphalt ? What a memory !!!

Hells yes!!!! I forgot about that. My cousin had a set and I would make him ride down his hill so I can hear the howel! Man that got me laughing.

I really liked Powerlite tires, but they wore out way too fast. CompIII's are what i would usually run
