Actually, they're from West Jefferson, Ohio, at Converse Park in 1985. I believe the park and/or track is long gone. Back then Ohio was peppered with NBL tracks.

Remember when Brian Foster used to do those wild paint jobs on them with the squirely things all over? His cyclecrafts always looked wild.

Yeah, sometimes, we had to pick the paint out for him, but he could get some really good paint jobs. The old paint room is gone, but we still have a wall with a huge mural on it he painted on while he was living here. Also has signatures on it, such as
B.J. Gantt and others. That's been 13 years since Brian used it for a paint room.

An old friend of mine from high school just started working where I work. I saw him today. He says he still has his Cycle Craft in his mothers basement. White with pink paint spots. Bars, plate the works. I tried talking him out of it but he didn't seem to interested in letting it go.

Did those "Bottema" style forks add anything besides weight?
Brian B
Nov 23 2005, 07:55 PM
I doubt that there would be anything to add besides style. Just like the Fred-Z bars and the type of forks pictured here, Cyclecraft was a stylish company. I always though so anyway..
