New to the forum so apologies if I am in the wrong spot or asking the 10'000th question but here goes...just looking for impressions on the Kona Mama BMX...any links to details about this bike (other than the BMXplus article) would be great...I have a chance to build one and wondering if anyone is into these srot of frames. Thanks!

My son rides a Kona Mama & just loves it. He's rode Redline & Specialized Hemi's. Out of the 3, he picks his Kona. Great bike for a strong rider. Took 1st place at the Canadian Grands on his Kona for 15X. Hope this info, helps.

I specifically remember one in my local Kona dealers bike shop when they came out. I think I still have a brochure with it pictured. They were cool then and now if you can find one. Keep it, build it, ride it. You'll be glad you did. Thay made a cool 24" BMX cruiser as well.

Thanks! I am building a red one right now - it was a never built frame. Very cool down here south of the border (as Kona seems super popular in Canada and less so down here). Going for the chrome and red look. Bought the Araya RB-J1 wheels on ebay last week - they will be perfect for my weight.
Thanks again.
