i've been working with Kastanman trying to id a set of forks i have with no luck. they came on a badd that i got, it's an 89. i had been told that they thought they were free agent, but from looking at pics of Kastanman's i don't think so anymore. any help would greatly appriciated. seems the main stumper is a little hole on the inside bottom of each fork leg, but Kastanman also pointed out the dropouts aren't the same. he's going to post some pics of them for me so see what you think. also, there are no markings at all, but the welds are very good, way too nice to be cheapies. somebody has got to know what these are!

Here are the pics. The chrome is jschmidt and the white are mine for comparison.

Is it possible that these are newer FA forks? Maybe early 90's.

yours do look pretty much the same don't they.
may be the weld vent was moved or another Fabrication company, KHS maybe, did them that way.

my FA fork is from somewhere in the 1990/92 range. no vent hole on the side, the bend is different and the seat for the headset race is only welded on the sides - not on the front or back.

oops. double post. somthin' went haywire

hey, been outta town for the weekend but thanks for the help. as for the vent holes, they are only in the inside bottom of each leg, and the headset race is welded all around. but it's looks like free agent is ruled out. anybody have a pics of hyper forks? i believe they also had forks very similar. or some revcore forks?
