I had no idea that Araya made a Super 7X in a 32 hole until today. A few years ago I got a bike and the back wheel was a Super 7X pitted to hell laced to a GT sealed flip flop hub, also pitted to hell. I took it apart cause the spokes were trash and I was bored. So today I got bored again and put it back together, I pick out 36 spokes, lace it up 3X and I have 4 spokes left over. Sure enough it was a 32 hole.
I just found it odd that they made a 32 hole Super 7X.

they might have been custom made for GT. i know a place that bought out most of one of the old GT/riteway warehouses which contained mostly unused "OEM" and warranty inventory. this included 32 hole super 7xs.

Could be, the wheel did come off an aluminum GT race bike. The front wheel was a Rhythm, not sure which one was the original wheel.

Ahhh yes, I know of that place. Not as bad as torismo, I bought a set or two then figured it out - 28 hole. Went back and bought 2 28 hole GT sealed mowhawk 2 hubs so I can use them someday.

This isn't a Mohawk hub, it's the one before that. The rim is the one with the spider on it.

I wanted crome rime, and found that Araya had the best crome job out there.
