I am a former factory Mongoose rider but the only bike I kept was a proto type from around 1989. It was a new style frame that came just after the Rupe signature frame and before the "Solution". Rupe frame was a traditional style loop tail. My proto type is a wishbone seatstay looptail. Wishbone is made to look like it goes through seat tube into top tube. Production of this frame became new Californian, and came in a dark gray team model. Anyone remembers these? Are they rare? Any idea on value?
