Here they are, in the early stages yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have more pics to show. The blue one is for my girlfriend Pam, and the black one is mine. Paint jobs are courtesy of my good friend Chris at GFR industries

Wow, what a coincidence, Stardust powder? I just got my Quamen frame sent out last week by Dig-It USA, same facility that paints S&M Bikes.

When I was racing cruiser in the early 2ks, I wanted a cycle craft badly. They have a great track rep. I like that fade.

They look fantastic, Captain. Just let me know when you're gonna start selling those sticker kits

Very nice. What kind of forks are on the blue one ? They don't look like Cycle Craft ?
Captain America
the blue one has TNT forks and bars
Betty Martino
Hello, your frames really look good. I am the founder of Cycle Craft. My family and a dedicated team of workers and riders built them from 1984 thru 1992. The company was then sold and was moved to Florida. We were the national NBL CHAMPS IN 1991 AND 1992. I taught Brian Foster how to paint our frames and forks while he worked, lived and rode for us in 1991 and 1992. We also made frames and forks for TNT, MCS, Vector, Haro Zeronine and several others. We were the first company offer frames made to order and paint jobs to order. Thanks for keeping the name alive. Joe Martino.

nice rides .... a question for Mr.Martino I have what I believe is one of the earliest models, my question is about IDing, is there any distinguishing factors to help place my frame to a specific yr - she is a Pro length 19.25/19.5 (depends how you look at it sorta between both) trademark rear dropouts with a serial of F4 and below that a letter, on the inner rear left drop out - braket brake bridge and bracket behind the BB ..... then the forks are the Bottema style with no front hole drilled for front brake mounting - I am quite sure she is an '84 but would like to be sure - any help would be appreciated
Betty Martino
Helllo, Ol'phart. We did not start making frames and forks for Cycle craft until the fall of '84, and very limited, at that. Mike Lynch, Mitch Martino and Josh Martino rode our first proto-types at a national in North Carolina. From that race on we were an instant hit with the racers. You did not say what letter was displayed on the brake bridge. The best I can figure out without seeing the frame and fork is that your frame was built in June of '85, and was the fourth pro frame of the month. Send a photo and maybe that will help. Thanks, Joe.

Joe,
I have a question, too. I still have my Cyclecraft F1/Grand Prix/whatever bike from 1988. I remember hearing at the time the original batch was only 8 frames. I'm not sure if mine was part of that batch or not (I haven't looked for a serial number). I know there weren't many. DO you have an idea how many of those you made? Thanks. Those bikes were all over Florida for a while.

Yes, we did make a very limited number of these frames. Mike Lynch raced these in his age group while NBL was sponsoring exibition type races before the National program, and took Number one in that group. Not many people even remember that whole racing scene, and it was short but sweet. Your bike must be from that run of production. Joe

Betty/Joe I just pm'd ya ......

I sent this message this morning, but it never came up so once again, I am responding to Ken concerning the F1. It was a very limited run of production due to the fact that the competition in those races was limited. Mike Lynch raced on this frame and took first in his age group during that year. The races were held during the weekend of the NBL Nationals, usually on a Friday. It was a lot of fun to watch. Your frame was probably in that original batch of production. Joe

"I taught Brian Foster how to paint our frames and forks while he worked, lived and rode for us in 1991 and 1992. "

I still have 2 frames that were not only painted by the "blue falcon" but were stamped with my name in the dropouts....factory style! I rode for Dan's in 1991 & 1992 and loved my Cyclecrafts....one of my National 1's was on a Cyclecraft. Great bikes!!

Brian was too fast back then and I spent many a race sucked up behind him. Cyclecraft had a powerhouse team then....Foster, McManus, Colegrove, Bartlett, Sterious, DeBacker.........

Joe it's good to see you on the boards!

Whitey, Do we miss the "good old days" or is it our youth that we had all the fun. Thanks for the feed back and the praise for our products. Joe.

Joe,
Thanks for answering. I raced Mike at a couple of races. I even led the race at South Park (after Mike crashed) until I crashed, too. I know it was a quick fad, but it was kind of fun at the time. I met you guys at your trailer in Orlando that year. I got stickers for my frame (pink of course, it was 1988) and you guys gave me a deal on the bar/stem thing. I always remember how nice everyone was, like a family. Thanks again.

Ken

PS Still holding onto that bike. Figure my kids will get a big kick out of it in a few years.

F1 racing was short lived but alot of fun. Developing and fine tuning that F1 bike with Joe and Mitch Martino was an awesome experience. We had the hottest F1 bike on the market, hands down. My bike was complete with 20" sew up tires, really fast. What ever happened to that bike Joe?
Betty Martino
Mikey, I still have it sitting up in the my workshop.
Complete. Come down and see it sometime. I will get Mitch to get it out and take some pictures for you. Joe
