Off the top of my head for the last challenger xl's
73.5 Head tube
71 Seat tube
14.5-19 chainstays
11.75 bb
990 or v-brake mounts
Snap did a test on the frame, im not sure if I got the test anymore, it was on my bedroom wall a long time before I actually got 1.

aparently this one is a MK II with 990 mounts, finished in red and from memory is a very good looking bike

Terriableone the challenger in the pic is a a few years newer then mine. I have a wishbone backend but the wishbone is at the top of the rear end near the top of the seat tube.

the challenger used the same geometry as the dirtbike and holmes. the first gen's had threaded headtubes then came threadless i think they all had canti mounts though. i had 2 xl's one threaded one threadless. the second gen's beafed up a bit i guess to compete with at the time the standard trailboss (250) because it was when guys were looking for lighterweight jumping bikes. i remember for a while you could get them with a transparent blue coating, but i think they stopped doing that because if you cracked it it was hard to tell until it was too late.

I have an older cruiser than the one Paulie has pictured with the wishbone at the seat stays. I beleive they called that design the "international series". At least mine had those decals. The canti mounts on my frame were VERY close together. I beleive they were true canti mounts prior to v-brakes. I tried to run v-brakes but the angles just weren't right and I was always hitting my ankles on the top of the arms. A local road bike builder brazed on new mounts placing them according to some Shimano literature. The v-brakes still work perfect.

i have an EARLY challenger cruiser. looks alot like a patterson...close enough that i've had a few pretty knowledgeable old-schoolers ask if that was what it is (no decals on it). it also looks exactly like a 1st gen S&M dirtbike, but no headtube gussets (and that it's a 24" ).

The early challengers had the wishbone on the seat stays. The international series came out around 97', they still had the wishbone on the seatstay. After that they went to the ones like t-1 has pictured above.

I had one of the early Challenger cruisers. But I could`nt stand it. They were made by Boss I believe. Had a Widowmaker before it which I loved. Chris said the Challenger rode the same only lighter but it did`nt.
I think after that they quit making the Challenger cruisers until the RV`s came out.

Oh man...I gotta get on the old vbmx a little more often...Gary(bmxmuseum) that is a outright steal for that ebay challenger! $82 with new Boss cranks! Score! Gotta tell you, you would have paid more if I would have seen this post sooner.

What about this one? It doesn't have a wishbone like the chrome challengers I can remember.
