Im gonna rebuild my third SE Quadangle. I cant remember if it was in 1982 or 83. LIL help maybe, it didnt have the loop back and it was darker blue. What year did they switch from the loop tail? My first dark blue SE I bought from Pedalers East Vineland, NJ in 1980 I think, and i cant for the love of god remember what back end that one had either lol.

My second SE Quad (black)I got in a trade in 1981, Im thinking my first two had looptails but just cant remember.

Anyhow just tonight I made my first Ebay purchase ever, a set of NOS Tange TRX Forks like I had on all 3 of my Quads. (I think lol, i know for sure on two of them).

In '83 they stopped making the looptail quads.
To find one these days is pretty hard, and expensive!
An '83 Reynolds Quad would be a good choice, because they are around, and can still be had for a decent price.
What else do you need, or want for your build?

My list is pretty basic the only hard to find even then part I had was Robinson Pro bars. These were super narrow bars at the base. Very limited production as this was pre GT.
My bikes also had either Oury grips or Oakleys (2s) i bet both of those would be hard to find
I had Camo pad set.
Everything else was standard fare.
Flights, DiaCompes, Kashimax, Shimano DX etc.

I found an 83 Quad in my Dark blue but he wants $850 and even if thats a good deal im having trouble paying that much for a frame (as this is just art).
