I ask this question about once a year, so here it goes. Anyone got any magazine ads or pictures of SRP bikes. I'm really looking for a good shot of the logo, but would love to see any literature or ads. I'm wanting to reproduce some decals for my frameset. Some of the southeast guys who raced around 85-87 have to have something.
Thanks

Galen, you are the greatest. I've been trying to find ads like this for a while. Thanks so much.
I've always thought that all SRP's had only the one brace at the bottom bracket, but the last picture shows some actually had two. I've always thought that didn't happen til Phase II came along.
Thanks again. lets keep the pictures coming if anyone else has some.

Glad I could help. These were in the ABA mag from Dec. '85 and into '86. Ads disappeared after that. I went through some of these mags the other day and when I saw your post it rang a bell. These must have been popular in the east and in the nbl since that was their territory.

A lot of the SRP's ended up restickered as Phase II's. I think Phase II bought out alot of the inventory after SRP went out. Here's an SRP my brother was given when he raced for Phase II. The one I have now doesn't have the headtube gusset, so he must have received another at some point.

Here's another that was on ebay a while back. I think it was one of Snorton's auctions. Again, this one has the phase II stickers.

Dude who was your brother, I raced for Phase II in 1987 and 88.
If you still have any phase II stuff like pads and stuff I am rebuilding my 1987 cruiser that Ernie Smith gave me. Actually Rich Carolan had it before me and di not want to ride it so I Ernie slid it my way. It was funny at the Peachtree nastional that year there were three Phase II riders in my age class and we all ended up in the same moto. Fun but kind sucked.
I recreated the phase II stickers digitally and have the .eps file if you need to have someone make repro's, but I know you are an SRP guy.

Hey HRP. My brother is Brandon Moody. In 1988 he was around 13 or 14 years old. We were both on phase II for a short time. We also raced for Sport Cycle for a long time, which is why i think we didn't stay with Phase II very long. I think my parents had their personal differences with Ernie.
I've also recreated the phase II decals in Illustrator and have the .AI file, if you have illustrator, maybe we can swap. I've been searching for a phase II pad set for a while. I have some good close-up pics of a pad set and was going to redo the artwork and possibly get some blank pads screened. But i've been too lazy.
I have a pro sized phase II that i'd like to restore one day, so i keep an eye out for their stuff too.

I think I remember the Moody name from back then, I was 18 in 1988 so I had you guys by a few years. I was real close to the Strickland Family (Heather Strickland was the rider) and I am still best friends with K C Squires (who was also on the team). Knowing them is pretty much how I got my ride. Actually, I got picked up the morning of the 1987 Christmas Classic national in Columbus. Went out and one my first moto.
I was a B-team guy which bacsically ment when the factory team got the Black and Pink uniforms I was stuck in the blue and white ones. I got some bikes and I think maybe an entry or two, hard to remember. Eventually that is why I left the team, to see if I could get a ride on my own, I sort of felt that I was given the phase II ride because of who I knew and not my riding, so I went found a ride elseswhere. It was still very cool to be a big team like that though.
I also have the phase II decals in Illustrator, but thanks.
Here is a shot from 1988 in Memphis. This was lifted out of the BT.
