Full Version: I just got an Auburn BUT what are these forks on it?

I just scored this bike and I realized the forks on it don't seen to be original with the frame. What are these things? I'm more of a freestyle guy and I'm not real great on BMX stuff. Any ideas?

They almost look like some kind of mini fork.

LMK if you ever decide to get rid of that frame. bartaylorad@yahoo.com

Nice find! Those are definately not Auburn forks. They seem like some kind of Tange fork. That's what comes into mind when I look at them.

One a side note, can you find the serial number on your frame? On my Auburn I can only find where it says XL but I cannot find the serial.

Pull the fork from the frame. It may say the brand name on the steer tube of the fork. I agree that it has the shape of a mini fork buit the blades look rather fat for a mini. Nice frameset....

I haven't even looked for a serial number yet. The frame's front triangle section would need to be re-painted. The paint is chipping by the bottom bracket and a little chipping is also by the head tube.

Here is a shot from the other side.

The fork dropouts look like an older Mongoose style.

I have my green Cr20rx frame that I have had since they were first released... I have no need for it, turbo if you need one LMK...
