Full Version: Need ELF Information

I'll admit it, I don't know the first thing about old school BMX bikes. I rode BMX, but tnever had a great bike. Someone I know has an ELF which he believes to be a 79 or 80. He says it's got Arayas, good cranks, etc. I have no idea what these go for, wanted to see if anyone on here could help. Thanks!

I do not think they made ELF's in 79 or 80. I always remember ELF's from the mid eighties through mid Nighties.

I could be off on this one, but I think 79 is too early.

That is what I also have heard. They started in/around '85 and they went to about '95. In about '94 they produced some Aluminums, but before that they were all chromoly. '79 sounds much to early. Just my 2 cents.

79 / 80 is way too early. Maybe he meant 89 / 90. Their are several on ebay for visual comparison

Yeah,Elf(extra light frames) were made in the mid-eighties to mid-nineties).Very nice bikes,I'd get it for racing(wish I had one right now...)-Danny
