I am building a Cannondale 20" BMX bike.
I am old school and ultimately know nothing of the current products, which leads me to my question:

What do I build this thing with??
What kind of rims, hubs, stem, bars, cranks, seat, breaks, headset??

Thanks
G-Flash
For starters a 44 tooth redline flite sprocket and some new redline flite cranks. Find out what size head tube you have and get some forks. Maybe some S&M pitchforks. For rims go with some black tuffs. The real big changes are the threadless forks and the v type brakes oh and the 14mm axles on the hubs. Start building because with everyday that goes by it gets more and more expensive!LOL

The Cannondales were built for racing but were actually pos's. They broke & didn't sell all that good so Cannondale stopped producing them after a short while. Mid-90's, build it up with what was popular during that time period, in the race scene.

I have Cannondale forks.

bnd.... thats why I am here asking what to use...
I don't know.. I raced 25 years ago... not 10 years ago.
What would you recommend for the parts and pieces?
Thanks

Oh sorry. Well let's see, here's a quick breakdown of the main parts with a twist.

Forks - Brand-X, original Answer carbons, GT, S&M race.
Wheels - Spin Mags, anything nice alloy.
Bars - S&M slams, Answere Aluminites, Brand-X, Redline.
Stem - DK, S&M. GT Piston.
Brakes - V-brakes.
Seat - Odessey.
Cranks - Technique if you can find them. Profile.
Pedals - Clips.

Maybe somebody else has a few ideas they could share too.

I have an NOS frame & fork, if I build it, I'm going with Spins, Profiles, DK. I also have a 24, built from an NOS F&F too

Lets see some pics. I tried to buy one when they were new but they had already stopped production.
Probably just as well. I`m pretty sure I would have broke it.
