I used to sharpen my KKT's teeth with a file, buku grip, but slipping a pedal ment guaranteed blood flow.

Made in Traverse City Michigan, that could explain alot
mikkopeters
Holy cats... them look dangerous.
Joker808
Holy crap those things look dangerous.. I would guess that the set you have may be one of a VERY few that weren't recalled for lopping off a tibia.

Rare find I'm sure.

MCP = McLain Cycle Products.

My local shop bitd and sponsor for many years.

Those came out in 1978 and ran until the Shimano DX took over. We used them on Reedy's, Suntour's, KKT Lightnings, Kingsbury's [drilling modification needed] and of course, rat-traps.

Distributed through Everything Bicycles for a while. Anthony Sewell, Lee Medlin and few other notables were known to use them.

Anthony with MCP 1000's

A few from my saved stash.

On My DeCoster just like I had back then.

MCP also made rollers and did quite well with those over the years, still made today. web page

Whats your beef with TC Cheez?
Ted Carl
Ahhh yes, the sight of Kingsbury pedals with cleats installed....The tell-tale indicator to a manufacturer that the world market is begging for an improved pedal !!! lol........Enter the DX.... and the Bear Trap... exit all others.

I think I actually had a set of them (in blue ?) for a very short while bitd.

If memory serves me correctly, I witnessed a nasty crash at our local track bitd because of them. If one screw fell out (especially early in a race) they were free to swing around, and then....well, you can figure out how that could play out in a few different forms of disaster....Hitting the ground, hitting the cranks, not letting your foot back on the pedal.....all of the above all at once...lol.
AndyDiamond
ahahahaaaa - very cool.

And if you need a shave between motos.... lol

I guess Gary Ellis never used em...
COASTY
Holy crap! I used to file my KKT's too but those are savage lookin' beasts. I bet they worked great.
cheez
Sorry Randy, should have used , just razin the Mi guys, no harm/foul intended. Hey I live in Marseilles IL, even the locals refer to it as MAR-TUCKEY.

OOps, damn, did it again. Now people from Kentuckey are gonna get ****ed

That seriously looks like saw blades bolted onto crappy pedals. The 80s were scaaaaaaaary...

The 80s were great, the mid to late 70s were even better.
