72 or early 73 While all the early dinosaurs were riding modified Stingrays, Rick Twomey came out with a radical new design which changed BMX. A design that is still with us this day. The bike was raced by many of the icons of the sports such as Dave Clinton, John Palfreyman, Thom Lund and Doug Takahashi

The frame was lying around Rick Twomey's house and he gave me the honor of restoring it to it's old glory

Perhaps one of the most historically significant bikes known to exist. And it has # 11 on it, my first ever NBA number! And it has waffle grips on it! I had waffles this morning for breakfast!! That cannot be just a coincidence!!
VERY cool bike my friend!

History all the way!
As you can see the seat post tube is also tweaked to make things fit, all experimental which makes it so cool. Thanks to Twomey's engineering to make what we so love, a strong BMX frame!
Great job on the build Rick!

Thanks, for restoring this bike and posting pics. It brings back so many memories of the early days of BMX history, when function and durability were more favored than style and marketability.
