Ok guys,
Sorry for the delay, but, here's the info for the rescheduled Heer Park vintage show/swap/race. The times for this will be alot earlier since we're running this one in conjunction with the Saturday state qualifier. Saturday-Registration 9:00 A.m.-11:00 A.m. RacE at 12:00 p.m. (NOON). We have the ok from the state to run a vintage moto that day too. Cost will still be 5 dollars to get in the vintage race and still no fees for the show/swap. My fiance and i are also working on getting together some voting sheets and some kind of small awards certificates for the show as well. I figure if we're gonna have that many people there might as well get everyone involved. The categories will be best 70's race, best 80's race, best cruiser, best freestyle, and peoples choice. If you guys can think of anything else please chime in. There will be a food vendor at the races, but, as RJ suggested in the other post it would be cool if we drag out the grills and chill after the races too. We can cookout at the track as long as it's not an open fire. I am working with the track to have an area set aside just for the vintage displays. Please let me know if you plan on making it so i make sure i get a big enough area for us.

I posted this on Museum as well. Seemed like a few folks over there were interested last time around.
Charlie, did you race the whole state series this year? I wanted to, but the weekends of the races just didn't jive with the rest of my life.

I've only raced the Norwalk and 1st Columbus qualifiers so far Chris. I wanted to make the Akron too, but, just couldn't work it out. Judging by my results so far this year i'm wondering if maybe i shouldnt have just set it out and let my back and knee finish healing.

Charlie, I hear you on giving stuff time to heal. It seems like recovery time seriously lags as we get older.
It has been over a month since I sliced my ankle open and it still looks and feels like I shouldn't race this weekend.

Gents:
I'd love to come, but I'll be in Indianapolis at a previously scheduled engagement.
Here's hoping for better weather!

I'm going to stop by after the OSU game to see if anyone is still hanging out. Kickoff is at 12, hopefully the Bucks will be up pretty good by halftime, and I'll maybe sneak out in the back of the 3rd quarter.
So, I'd say by 5-ish I'll be there.

Charlie,
Any scoop on where we will be able to park/display. If possible, I'd love to be able to park up in the grassy area, kind of like we did last time before I got spooked by the weather. It will be a lot easier than moving all of our stuff from the parking lot to wherever they want us to display.
I am also planning on racing or giving it a shot, so I will be there by 9:00 to get set up for the show and get registered so I can practice a little.

Uhhh, sorry but I have to back out. I have a condo redo and I have to get some things done before subcontractors come in. Hope you guys have a great time, I was looking forward to meeting some fellow Buckeyes. I also hope the rain stays away for the meet.

Well, once again, mother nature got the best of the vintage gathering. We only had two people show up with their rides and i'd like to thank them both for showing up. Hopefully we can get something together for next spring (and it actually won't rain on us).
Chris, i gotta thank you for showing up and racing. That was one of the funnest mains i've run in a LONG time.

Charlie, I agree - it was one of the funnest mains I've run in a LONG time. Then again, it has been 19 years since my last main. HA!
Seriously, I really enjoyed meeting you today. It seems like most of the 35+ Novice group in OH is pretty cool and has a good time racing each other.
I was impressed to see 46 motos today and have a main in our class.
I know this vintage thing will happen.
