Here's an old picture from the mid 80's of my favorite bike I ever had... original candy blue National Pro Long. Only blue one I've ever seen or heard of...
I was in my early teens when I built this bike, earned the money working at the local bike shop and at my grandpa's furniture store.

Parts list:
83 or 84 National Pro Long f&f- factory candy blue
Pro Neck handlebars
Pro Neck stem- silver
Oakley O-wings grips & donuts
Pro Neck seat post
Shotgun seat
Excalibur seat post clamp- silver
Tange sealed headset
Sugino cranks
Bullseye bottom bracket
Shimano DX pedals- baby blue!
Pro Neck chainring
Dia Compe Mx900 brakes- chrome
Bullseye hubs- blue & silver
Chrome Araya rims- 20x1 3/8
Comp III tires
National Pro padset in Blue

I would trade my whole collection to get this bike back, I know it's probably still floating around out there somewhere... I hope... Who's got it?!?!?!
Last seen in Longwood, Fl around 1991.

Hate to think what it's gonna cost to build a replica!!!

They did make Colored Nat Pro's, only seen a few real ones though. Snorton bought out a shop in MD. that had some NOS. In fact before he bought out the shop the owner of the shop put red one and blue one on Ebay 2 or 3 years ago. A few people new about the shop, which had been closed since since the mid-90's. But, none ever took a real shot at it. I peered through the windows in 97 while visiting friends and couldn't believe it. Saw the colored Nat. Pros and was drooling, but living in Chicago made it near impossible for me to take it down. The shop was loaded with ol school goodies!!!!!!!

Yeah, colors I've seen (only 1 each, ever) are black, red, and candy blue.
Anyone know of any other colors?

anyone got some National Pro ad scans?
rumblerdave
Let's see some more National Pro's!!!

No National Pro fans here???

SUper nice bike, it is sitting in someone garage waiting for you to find it. I wish you the best, my ET Kuwahara got sold for $10 or $15 at a garage sale while I was in College. You have a better chance with such a rare colored NAT Pro!

I will keep any eye out for you,

Mike

I think National Pros are some of the best chrome I've ever seen.

Those bikes rule... awesome builds!

Has anyone repro'd the white on clear NP decals, like are on my blue one?
John De Bruin
I have the layouts for red/blue-on-chrome. I am sure the white on clear would be no problem.

That 20" is sick!!!!! Nice build. My buddy has a National Pro Cruiser. He was a Factory rider from Texas BITD.
