IT's cold and drizzling outside.. How are people supposed to ride bike if there is no indoor. Every city should have a place to ride..

Why dosen't Conley get some sort of indoor place going? There is a big empty old Wal Mart building in Waseca that would be perfect for some dirt,, ramps.. .. Imagine a big first bern thats build right into the wall, and goes up to vert.. Could use as a quarter pipe too.... The rent is probably only a few grand a month.. Do it....
King of Pipeline
Well I may need a little help.. With the Grands this weekend. I just went to that site.. Is it easy to watch them?? on there, I didn't see anything about it..

thanks

That socko bastage has my vote...
KAST!!!!!
King of Pipeline
Look at the last jump in the first straight.. A track like this would bring the people out. But that would be some scary racing for sure.. The only one around here that could ride a track like that is " the Bomb".

Who's this Hershey character??
Guest200901
All I know is, "Squirts" is his last name. He's a good sheit though, he's got my vote!
Paul Springer
Hershey gets my vote. I have heard that Socko has been co-mingling campaign funds to buy HARO parts.
King of Pipeline
Haro days are over.. Come on, if anything Hershey needs a new cruiser..
The Free Agent will do the job another year I guess....

Everyone have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving!
mikkopeters
Thanks Mark!

Some things I am thankful for:
good music
caffeine berfore 6am
PEG
Station wagons with turbos
BMX
Hersey giving my hat back
guitars
All my OS buddies near and far
Above all, my family!

Hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving!
John Sandberg
Thank God Socko is back! That means I'm back. I've got your back, Socko. Get back to where you once belonged.

Hey all, hope everyone is timing the gate perfectly, pedalling the first jump and surviving Theo's elbows in the first corner.

Cal and I are ready for our weekly return to Rehbeins, beginning next week, although those clavical pictorials from Springer have me worried.

Does anyone know if posting pix in the new site is the same as old?

Yo, KOP- is that Rod?

John, you can still photo bucket pics, but if you look below at the attachments you can also hit browse and pull them that way too. Its easier, however you have to empty out when it gets full.. Kinda of a pain.

Merry Thanksgiving to all..Or is that Happy?

Be safe everyone. angel.png

I'm eating all vegetables this year, need to watch my girlish figure..Yeah right, by the time I'm done eating I'll look like Chris Farley in a thong... wink.gif

I'm going over to my uncles in Dundas.. He'd better have turkey. I'm sick of ham or duck.. I want the real deal for once...

I went to Pizza Ranch last night, and had the buffet... I'm not even hungry, but I'd better do the right thing and eat today... A white Thanksgiving.. who would have thought..

At the family dinner today, my bro in-law was telling me about a bunch of BMX stuff a friend gave him recently. It's a small score: Pro Class rims laced to Bullseye hubs, Redline cranks, Hutch race fork, and a Redline F/S fork w/ pegs. The frames are something interesting. He says they are one race frame & one freestyle twin top tube frame. Both aluminum. And here's the interesting part- he says they were both made in St. Cloud & both have an adjustable headtube.
Does this ring any bells w/ any of y'all?
I'll try to get some pics from him soon. He want to restore them for him & my nephew to ride.
-Bill
Ted Carl
The inspiration is frightening....lmao.
rick kast
bill ,
those would be race tech, sheely rode for them. never heard of a freestyle frame , but the race frame was on jeff haney's rarest list.
awesome score.
wds
Thanks for the info Rick. I have the pics for both frames. You can see that they are both the same company & one IS definitely a freestyle frame. As I said, my brother in-laws friend just gave this stuff to him. All he knew was the company was from St. Cloud & not many were made.
Needless to say, I'm VERY jealous.

Nate (my bro in-law) Says that the fork for the race frame is a Hutch fork, that had those dropouts added to them. That does look to be the case.
He was asking me about getting them powdercoated, I threw some other ideas - polished AL, or annodizing. The more I see them, I think the polish route would look coolest.
Any info about these frames would be helpful.

The two holes behind the seat post are where the Estes rocket engines went. huh.gif I think they were D12-8's, but it's been a while. biggrin.gif

Think ya got a RARE one there Bill.

I dont think Ive EVER seen one of those before!

BTW.. PM me , got a rat byke f/f for ya!
rick kast
those are a trip, talk about the ultimate in adjustability!
i went back to the rarest thread and jeff said 60 of those race frames were made. that freestyle frame has to be 1 of a handfull.
DW, if that rat is a pro thunder, i still need one of those to recreate my brothers first bike.lmk
thanks
DitchWeed
Kast, Its not a Pro Thunder, but I see a fair amount out and around...pm me a pic of one similar to it and I should be able to track one down for ya.
rick kast
will see if i can find a pic.
the bike was just like the one pete found. white w/ red 7c's w/the cheap steel wald/bendix hubs

mikkopeters
Wow Bill, that is SICK!!!
I vote for leaving them as is and get something else to ride.
wds
If they were mine, I'd clean them up & let them be. As it is they belong to Nate. All I can do is give my suggestions.
Actually what I really will probably tell him is to keep one, sell the other & and put that $$$ towards a pair of bikes for him & my nephew.

I know who most of them are. There are a few on the injured list. Bubba is forsure. Looked like Bennett was the guy to beat. Robinson looked good too. Who won 35-40 and 41-45 24"??? How bout Jayson????

I just wanted to thank Paul and his wife for having all of us over today. The races were cool and once the main's took off it was crash after crash... Scott Boecker and his wife were present along with Christensen, and Russ "Colorado Coaster" Newcomb.... We wished Bruce " Utah Hacker" was present but he was back home.... LOL!!! Maybe next time... wink.gif j/k

Jayson was in 2nd in the 2nd to last turn, then the dammmmmn BUFFERING kicked in and didn't see the finish
Paul Springer
Jayson had an okay gate, made up the difference in the first straight then it looked like he blew a pedal. He did still hold on to second and that was pretty impressive with all things considered.

2nd huh? Wow! Way to go Jayson. That's a HUGE!! His class has got to be tough. I wish I could have seen the 24" clasees, but like MC we had Buffering issues too and we missed ALL the 24" semi's. I watched mains until 4pm and went home... Again, thanks Paul and Nicole...

Ok MN BMXperts, still on the bikes my brother in-law Nate got. He talked to his pal who gave them to him & he was claiming they were by American Bicycle Manufacturing out of St. Cloud. Do any of you know anything about these? All I can find info is about thier MTBs. Did they make Race Tech, as Rick Kast suggested these are?
Thanks for any info

Given the St. Cloud connection and the similarity of the headtube design, I think that's a reasonable hypothesis.

That flat frame just blows my mind. That's neat, and rare, and whatever else you wanna throw at it!
