Who's racing/watching Kato/Faribault on Saturday?

Kraker making a come back?

I'm definitely going to both races on Saturday to help out, but I'm in no shape to race. The healing process is coming along nicely, but very slow. I was lucky I didn't break or tear anything, but I just got back full range of motion in the arm this week. I just started to lift things with the left arm and I can only lift 2-3 lbs up to shoulder height. It's very frustrating, but it could be a lot worse.

See you at the track.

A little Tar corner action for you old schoolers to race on this weekend at Mankato

WBL BMXer - aka Chucky
Shawn & DC - Check out alltheracing.com for information about the completion of the St. Michael state qualifier. It looks like they are starting with moto 3 at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 2nd. I hope you guys both make it back to finish the race.

Shawn, this should give you enough time to dial in that bike.
B. Apold
tar berms....wow! I bet that's fast as hell. Do we need nobbies anymore? I'm going to search for some hybrid 20" tyres today.. Heeheeheee.
Gary Walton
Nate and I will be at both, however, I haven't raced since the Isanti Nat, so I'll be vending instead of riding. I'm still so disgusted with last performance that I think I'm retiring for good. Looking forward to the weekend, though.

I'm not sure if any of you will make the trek to Brainerd, put they paved the corners a couple of weeks ago and it made the whole track faster/smoother.
King of Pipeline
I'll for sure be in Mankato/Faribault saturday. These are my home tracks, sort of... But, not sure if i'm racing one or both, or any.. But i'm going...

Wow, those corners look nice. They definitly needed them.. The old corners were very bumpy.. As you know, Mankato track is very long.

Intense micro knobbies are probably going to be the best tire on a track like this. I just put some on my bike 3 weeks ago, and they work well even in the loose stuff.

Brainerd's paved corners

I'm digging the paved corners for sure.. Seems to be the wave of the future.. Maybe the Olympics will pick up on it.

Looks like I really am going to be DNF then, I'll be out of town that weekend - Motobike trip to the Apostles.

Asphalt berms... hmmm. Just keeps getting stranger. What was wrong with flat berms anyway.

Mark - you were on a goose in the above mentioned story if I remember right.

And you would be.......? Please identify...

We had a fun night of racing with myself, Lance White & Ty Nelson for total points at Isanti. Ty was pushing Lance pretty well as I trailed closely behind. There were at least two times I thought I was going to go down in a ball of flames from the sketchy brothers boppin in to each other in front of me. Fun times!

You're kidding right?

I found this great website with all the information you need. Go to alltheracing.com and look at the big red box. It has both Mankato and Faribault race times listed.

IMO, those tyres flex way to much. The nobby pattern is the right idea forsure. I like the IRC Sirens, best bmx nobbie I've ever raced on..

BA, I have to totally disagree with you. I folded, shredded and de-rimmed IRC Sirens for about three weeks in a row and ended up giving everyone of them we owned away. They are by far the worst sidewall I've used. Doesn't mean they won't work for some.

Micro Knobbies, on the other hand have been great for this 220 pounder. If you keep them at 60 psi they carve well and roll really well. However, definitely not for loose tracks and if your kids put on a lot of street or trail miles, they wear out in about 3 weeks. I come from the sprint car world where you put $400-500 worth of tires on every night, so it doesn't seem so bad, but I do hear the parent complaints.

We've been having the best luck with SuperCross Blue Streaks as a go anywhere, decent wearing tire that works great for all racing surfaces.

Just my 2 cents.
Jeff Manning
Since everything is going to tar and cement, why don't they hold another Jox/Jag World C-ships at Indy. It would be awesome. sun_bespectacled.gif

MC- My Dad is doing fine, a little depressed but enjoying his golfing!

And on a 24" I could see the IRC's being an issue. I ride 20", they were on the bike when I bought it and I love them. 60psi?? I run like 30psi.. My 24" FMF now has Hybrid tires and they are awesome...Worked good at Rehbbein's anyway and I absolutely walked on Boecker. LMAO!!! tongue.gif

I'm not much of a bmx expert, so your probably right on the Micro's. I miss tan skin walls... I should buy my Stadiums back from Jack Furrow-browe. tongue.gif ABA Grand's here I come.

Jeff, good to hear your Daddy is doing well

LMAO, the King of 20", maybe the king of the 20" OS terd Mountain...haahahaaa.

I'll look up and see where the races are. I could certainly plan for that. Tell him I'll be there. The big question, is he novice class? sarcastic_blum.gif

Victor D on 20" huh?? Very Cool!!! DC, you should be next. I'll let you take my bike around and get a feel for it. Ted Carl brought his NS Schwinn Sting to Rehbein's, I took it around and that's all it took. Never felt as confortable on a 24" since that night.

The August 2/3 weekend is in St. Cloud. Saturday is a dbl. points race and Sunday is a State Qualifier. Saturday Morning DC has to finish taking care of business in St. Michael. Dave, I'm counting on you to keep Lance in place until I'm healed up.

That sounds like a fun weekend... I'm in! I haven't done any SQ races this year and according to my goose egg for points status, I could use some. Haahahaaa.

I got my 20" ABA card/number yesterday. #1895, and thats not a NAG number. I lover those 4 digit numbers. I going to add an "X" after it. sarcastic_hand.gif
