Awesome photos Mark.
I love jumping that double, but you have to watch not to float the front end too much. I found myself landing the rear wheel halfway down the backside a few times.
I really have a blast racing with all the old school guys. Thanks for the good, clean, hard racing guys.

Nice bike man!!!!! Now that's MN bmx. IMO, ditch the blue tires for some black/tan comps and get a chrome chain and then its DC perfect.
Scott "chucky", I know what you mean about that double. I cleared that stupid thing and landed on the berm. From that point on and have to hit my brake in mid air so I land.. Scary!!! Then those jumps on the 2nd straight, I'm going so fast coming off that berm it gets kinda crazy. I have to clear that first jump (second straight). I did it in practice, but I got so much air it wasn't faster at all.

really nice, but brad beat me to it. colored tires gotta go.
since we are on the tahoe subject, i have a question for q-tip or dc or sean if he's around.
i acquired a tahoe at rockford, it is junior sized. this thing is a spitting image to a loop robinson w/o the 'R' in the gusset. i know trackmaster made all that stuff , so my question is did they offer this bike to the masses or would this have been for jack's son or other smaller team dudes.
thanks guys

I believe it was offered as a catalog frame, however I doubt they sold to many since they were Robinson's.

Made a visit to Faribault last night for some practice. I really like the changes they made this spring. There is going to be some great finishes with the changes they made to the last straight. You better have some endurance or a second gear for the sprint to the line. The plan is to get the track in shape to get the soil-tac down before the state qualifier. Once that gets done, this track is going to rock. I had a blast riding it tonight.
The last jump on the first straight was changed to from a very difficult triple to a fast table.

A couple of shots of the last straight. The rhythm section is gone and the last straight is long.

Check out the distance from the last jump to the white finish line at the light pole. You're going to have to dig deep to make that last push to the line.

If I remember right Tahoe made a standard frame - same as the Robby standard.
Sound like Geno is a no-go this weekend, he stacked-it up on his fixie jumping a curb and his pinkie is the size his thumb. He has some good road rash as well, but nothing broken.
The downhill in SoDak last weekend was a blast, 10th in the pro/ex - not bad for an old guy. Slow and steady, no crashes - good times.
I'm a maybe for the Nat., I may have to go to a family event on Sunday. I'll probably come out Friday to do some runs if I can get my work done.

I figured Faribault would wuss down the jump on the first straight. Are there any big races going down in Faribault this year?
I was going to hit Mankato tonight, if the heat cools down.

Thursday is a Race for Life (ABA Membership is not required) in Faribault.
The big race day is Saturday July 26th. Faribault will run their state qualifier race in the morning and Mankato will run their state qualifier at night. You really need to defend your 2nd place run from last years race. I expect to see you and Socko in Faribault. Bring the Tahoe too.

I rode my motorcycle over there, $5.00 to get there and back... I didn't have an extra 10.00 to go around the track a few times.. It was humid, but the last 2 straights, people were just coasting and sitting down.. I don't blame them..

I could fit 3 bikes and no prisoners. Of course I'd have to take the spare out of the "frunk" to fit a bike in there and then there's the trunk behind the motor and my bike in the front seat (like the other day)... Now you know why I ride a 20"

Hey all, I guess Mr. Scott "Chucky" Kraker had a nasty crash this afternoon warming up at Isanti and he's was in "a" Hospital and from what Pauli said they moved him to Mercy. I think he injured his sturnam(sp?) and that would be the middle upper chest area... I'm sure MC or PS will chime in once they know more....

Hey Jerry- nice high end looking Tahoe build. I myself had a medium length frame(not my choice) and used a layback post and extended stem. While looking at the pics of yours it seemd a little shorter than the pro size in the tube. whats the measurement compoared to others? aka...is that MY old frame !!!??never really knew where it went. it was barely different from your average big kid size but was a little shorter. When I got the Tahoe cruiser it was like i finally got a pair of shoes that fit and I could feel I was allowed to really get on it. I was like a Geisha girl on that medium-especially when I had the 20x 1 3/8 rims on. forced into little shoes.

I actually remember you running those 1 3/8's... And creaky cranks...
This Tahoe actually came for a guy in Waseca that bought it brand new.. So I got lucky and picked it up for $35.00.... It was just sitting out at a farm... I remember when we pulled up, I was just acting casual, just hoping this bike was out there. There it was right on the front lawn, probably sitting there for months.. The yellow Tuff wheel mags where actually turned white from the sun.... So it's not in great condition, but it looks really good from a distance.. Now my favorite bike...

WOW! This was the first National I have been to since 1982!
It was a great thing to see again, but the best part was ALL the MN Elders that once raced BITD when I did! I can not even explain how cool it was, and the excitement that it created. I and many others are VERY grateful, that Mr. Kraker came out of his incident very minimally. When you see him, ask him what his age is... Funny now, but not then. Scott, I am SO glad things worked in the right direction for you.
I was only there for Saturday, but I understand today was just as good!
Gary....How in the hell this guy pulls 6' 105" of body down the track as smooth as he does....I have NO IDEA!

Then we have MOE... He's like 60 Something I think, rides like he's 18, makes all our hearts stop when he decides half way thru the doubles that MaMa Moe is gonna kick his A$$ if he jumps them...then backs out....and still brings home the GOLD! Great job Jeffery!

DC....He still to this day, has more DRIVE and determination then ANYONE I have ever met. He comes back to the pits more fired up as to how he is going to better himself in the next Moto. Dave, it's all going to happen again some day REAL soon! Great job!

THEN.... We have this guy.... John "I think I'll make my one and only race this year...A National" Sandberg. He's jumping the doubles that Moe's Wife won't let him, pushing the bigger guys around and making the Mains. Booger, as great as it was seeing all the other Oldies, having you there was clearly one of my highlights of the weekend! Thank you for that!

Now I know WE ALL give this guy a hard time when he would rather go tanning and get his nails and hair done rather then show up and ride...But Brad...Nothing RESPECT here on my end for winning two days in a row, on a circus sized bike! Great weekend Bradly!

HEY, we can't forget the Elder Pit Tooties that were there screamin' and yellin' for the men and children in there lives!

WHO IN THE HELLLLL was the lady doing staging!!!!????? She gives BMX a really bad name in my book! Ya think ABA would be aware (I'm sure they are now. Again) that she is SOOOO unprofessional with all the yelling at kids OVER THE MIC. G-Ray looks like he's on a 20".... and ya he really does get on that 24" well... Very impressive!!
It was great seeing John S. racing again and kick'n national @$$.
DC looked real good in main (Sun), great start, great form. I think Zizzo won after slightly beating out Mr.Clean/Harry Leary at the finish. That dude was huge and "really" into it....maybe to much

I saw him toss the bike down after the race. After he crossed the finish he ended in the wood chips on the starting hill and I got yelled at for sitting on the designer bricks watchin someone get a massage...

Moe, just smoked those guys...Yikes!!!
To Kevin, Great track man and all your efforts were seen this weekend. Thank you again for a state of the art place to race. I can't imagine why they wouldn't race there again next year.
The staging bioch.... I had a bottle of water still with me when I was staging for the mains and I set it on her table for a second to fix my shoe...
The bioch: " hey gorgious, don't set that on my table, if it spills I might get wet" Me: Look Agnus, you won't F'n melt will ya?" " You never know what might happen around here" Me: I'll take my chances"... So I forgot the water bottle on the table (LMAO) and I look back and she's cus'n because she knocked it over herself..... Haaahaahaaa..
