KOP- Can't see that place staying open long without making people wear helmets!

Good to see you getting out & riding Jerry! Is that the park in Fairbault? How is it?
I gotta get down there sometime.

Action Graphics, Team ATR, and all OK MN racers GREAT JOB!

Gary - Congrats on the Team Win!

DC - get some pics posted of the CA trip, before the mind can not recover lost data, and my hard drive goes on the blink here. Or, grab your stash of Mom's record keeping books of the past and come on up to Monticello and we will scan, browse and talk about your past beverage behavior, and risking my life crawling across patios 4 floors up, because you got locked out.... BTW, My mom was calling 5x a day Sat and Sun, asking how Vik and Dave did! But, what can I expect out of a mother who still knows more about the parts that were on my DG in 197??? then Brad does...

El MyStinkyButthole - Good luck with the Faction event, sorry, I won't be there (I'm nursing the new goats that night mad.gif ). Maybe on it's 10th year when KOP starts to where a full face helmet on the Blue Whale... with my walker and a hand full of pics that DC hasn't posted yet because he's to busy traveling around with Cal and bringing home the GOLD for ATR! (let's all hope biggrin.gif ) and me not remembering the name of Paul's cat that has continued to attack me every time I visit....

Snifffles - (John, Paul and Ted) You all have every right to drop a tear over the whole weekend ordeal and what Dave said. This is what "it and ATR” is all about… Family… Friends… Enjoying the sport… supporting everyone involved. Team ATR is very well represented with all these qualities of the team, and I am very thankful for that.

Be Safe, Race Hard and have Fun

This place in Faribault, is 15.00 the first time and 10.00 after. Helmet is optional for 18 and over.

I risked it all on this gap.....

J Man, what do we have to do to get you on that bike at Rehbeins? You're welcome to ride along anytime and hit up practice. And where has Dougie C. been hiding out? Haven't seen him since the Condo.

I'm back. Congrats to the 2Z family. Is there any doubt it's in the genes... DC, nice to see it coming full circle. Your post was great.

Minneapolis Moto update:

Frames will begin production next week. As of right now, there are 10 frames on order, 3 are sold. Finish is either black nickel plating or powdercoating of your choice (as long as your choice is black).

Rear dropouts are a horizontal system that allows either disk or canti brakes, a built-in chain tensioner, and an option of derailure hanger. Frames are to be 4130 or better.

I'm looking to sponsor riders, so let me know via private message if you are interested and I can give you the co-sponsor package price for bike and jersey (which is basically cost). My goal is to get the bikes on the scene, profit is not my motivation - but I need to break even at worst.
Jeff Manning
Hey G-ray

I'm going to get back on the track slowly. Thanks for the offer to hook-up and tag along on the way down to the barn. I'll have to take you up on your invitation one of these times.

Wheres the "Hammer?" Last I heard he was looking for a new car.. smile.gif
WBL BMXer - aka Chucky
Jeff, it will be great having you join us some night. Let us know when you're coming down.

I'm expecting you to make it hard on those guys in that 41-45 class this year.
mikkopeters
MAAAAAAANHOLE!

I just got a message from The Hammer. He's in training and will be back in form soon. smile.gif You get my message the other day?

Sheely, cool to hear the project is coming together. Those frames are sick. I may have missed the specs on it, but are you offering/can you run rigid forks on those bikes

I'll be at the Barn soon, I just need to buy a freewheel and bolt the Floval together. Before the snow melts 4 sure. smile.gif I do need a FF helmet too.

Cark Monley, thanks for the well wishes on the 16th. smile.gif It's going to be a fun time... bring the goats with, you can sneak them in.

I'll post up a CAD drawing shortly, but yes - it's designed to run a suspension corrected (80mm) rigid fork for BMX - up to 130 on the suspended for trail and dirt-jumping (slackens the geometry).

what district did you guys race, i didnt see any of your names. i raced in like 83 to 86, most of my career was an interm. , ex in end of 86. most of the tracks i race at was roch., austin, mankato, mason city, fairmont(loved the first double at the end of the hill).Austin track i remember people taking pit bikes at the second corner and doing table tops. Mankato we use to have like70 moto, i remember a guy by the name of bill nelson we called big bill, not because he was fat. he always talked with me because i had a vdc long and it fit him perfect. Alot of people talked with me because of that bike. Rochester i loved going there, people used to get so pist because of the second to the last corner, that jump that had a pretty wicked drop.
Im oldtime on bmxmuseum.com if you want to see some of my work.
Ive kinda went crazy this past year with bikes, i have 3 pattersons, 85 haro owned new, 81 supergoose everyone wanted one back in the day, 83 diamond back 500, 92 gt to new for me mostly to thrash on, i fixed a white hutch for a friend that he kept from back in the day, i just picked up a 83 white skyway(i picked up a sweet pair of wheels with bullseye hubs), i like to add a little new school with a lot of old school. i dew not own the vdc anymore, yes im kicking myself, it had the redline cranks, hutch pedals, gt hubs, ambrosio rims, and jmc bars, it was hard to sell it for 250 bucks(meaning no one wanted it). Aguy has one for me but yes he wants 2000, needs work.
check out buck380kustoms.com,im doing a bike run off of this sight.
I picked up an original pair of supergoose grips. most of my bikes have original comp iii. i do look at my bikes as somewhat investments, thats what i at least tell the wife. My dad use to tool me around in a 80 black trans am. any pics please send , i have a few. i might be going to rockford by myself, my wife has no interest, but damn it im going! cant wait. i could right stuff like this everyday cya

I tell you what, I could have walked to California and back, found another CYC (at Reilley's museum) and been more efficient than UPS... What a disappointment!
The bike is whats cooky. LOL!! I'll never understand how anyone rode it, its that...cooky. Once I get the new alloys, fluted seatpost and bars, brakeset it'll be at least rideable. It mush weigh 50lbs with the steel CMC rims. The bike, very Webco, Short Mongoose-ish (IMO). I bought another non rider! cool! rolleyes.gif

Scotty, this CYC is no Ames like I had. Its like what John and Al had (Stormer/Panther). Lets just say things have come along way in the geometry area... LOL!! Once I get all the pieces I'll post it.

I sure wish I had raced to 85 (graduation). I didn't do anything those last two years of High School... Well, tried to fit it maybe as a non bmxer.

Steef - you missed a good ride to the Art Shanty's on Wed. night. Karoke was good, cold though.

Brad, I know that BITD it was common practice to slap CYC stickers on imported frames - I bought one of those from BJ's. Are you sure you're frame is actually a CYC?

Careful what you ask for, huh?

Minneapolis MOTO update - the drawings are back, just deciding on tube sets and dropout design - looks like we may be using Paragon Cycle dropouts. They allow you to run vertical dropouts with horizontal sliders - disc, canti, and derailure configs are supported by swapping out the inner pieces.

Shawn, this is a CYC "Panther" from 1980. My Brother had one so I know it pretty well. the Panther is the same as the "MXR" Stormer minus the gusset. Like the MXR the front tri is cromoly/mild steel rear half. I need decals. Someone put some OS Goose stickers on it. Its very much like a shorty goose/Webco. Very small bike and really tall. decals will be impossible. I'd still be interested in the Stormer stickers "Rod" was speaking of a few weeks back.... Rod???

Bummer Brad. I suppose the Euro BB model is even tougher to find?

Mikko, the seat clamps they used on the Ames were basically two double clamp's from a stem, wether it was from CBR, mongoose, etc. The seatpost diameter (tiny) and I'm not sure the exact measurement but much smaller than 7/8". I still have my seat clamp from my Ames. I actually clamped the seat right to the frame and stuck a smaller piece of pipe in there to prevent crushing. Stupid I know, anyway, that's why i still have it. Mine doesn't look that^^^ blocky and more contourish like a goose stem.
