Steef, where the heck you been?

Rod, you still have those cranks we were talking about?
Rod B
Roger's been more than kind.

A couple sets of Campi hubs, two sets of 26" 7x rims, Campi cranks w/ two B/B, two Campi headsets, two square tuff necks, one Sidewinder complete, one NOS blue DCMX seat CLAMP, NOS Bob Reedy's (Psycho), Blue Maxi cranks, KKT pedals, gold center pull break caliper, two racks of break pads all colors, seats, and [I tried to cheat the filter]. cool.gif

I did make it a trade, so it wasn't a one way street.

Mikko, yes.

Speaking of sauce... My knee, that got banged on the Condo, is still the same. I can walk fine, but when I bend to reach something on the floor, then the pain. There is like a little indentation also, where I hit it. So, it's been almost 2 weeks. How long does something like this take to heal? I just hope it's nothing I have to go to the doctor for..

I even called it to work tonight,, cause, i'm sick of the pain... Am I looking for sympathy?

Just do what you did as a kid. Rub some dirt on it and get to the barn for some practice tomorrow. JK - I hope it feels better soon.

Speaking of the barn. I will definitely be at practice Friday night. Anyone else going?
wds
And get some knee pads Jerry!
I do & my knees thank me for it.

Take your dirty talk somewhere else. Are knee pads a required part of the Faction uniform? I know Wendy(t) wears his all the time.

wds
Nah - they're just a required part of the 37-year old skatepark rider who crashes a lot's uniform.
-Bill
WBL BMXer - aka Chucky
Bill, can you make it Friday for some practice?
wds
I dunno. Maybe I'll show. I'm thinking next weekend for sure regardless.

Not anymore I scored all the goods listed.
King of Pipeline
Maybe I just need to go back to riding 12' bikes. I never got hurt on those. These big people bigs are trouble. You go fast on them, get air and crash sometimes. These baby bikes are safe.
Guest200901
KOP- I gotta say, that is kinda cool that you can ride that little thing, like a pirate dog on a wooden leg!
Rod B
KOP, that picture must be from out of state. Looks to warm to be a local shot.
King of Pipeline
Yeah the good old days. That's a few months ago, on someone's back deck. This bike was in the garbage, I rescued it, but a few days later in mysteriously disappeared again for good.

Gotta give Conley props from Utah, he's a great guy!

So I see you guys's ABA national is at Rum River this year. Where is that vs. St. Cloud? Any good pics of the track? When is the date? Any other BIG races this summer planned?
I'll probebly come up for another vacation, not sure about the national weekend though because Iv'e learned that racing nats & visiting don't go hand in hand. I'm not big on racing at St. Cloud again either, too knarly, too much potential of crashing. I like more wide open, OS tracks.

Paul Springer
Who is that slacker over to the right, whoop that is flyin slow Springer.

The Isanti/Rum River track is being rebuilt and it will definetly have some old school flair to it. Kevin (T.O.) just about wets his pants everytime he starts talkin about it, it is going to rock BIG! This is going to be a huge camping weekend, the ATR Team camper will be there! Whenever you visit MN this Summer it will be fun.

Cambridge (green dot) is a little less than an hour straight east of St. Cloud.

edit: I can't spell.
Guest200901
Thanks Bruce, hope you can make it up.

This is a pic after the rebuilt Rum River last Fall

BND - I missed St. Cloud last year so I didn't get a chance to meet you. It's cool you're coming up again this summer. If the schedule is similar to last year, we should have a couple of good race weekends in July. A lot of our state qualifier races will be run then, so maybe you'll get to race a couple different tracks.

BTW, I seem to recognize that 611 rider. Brings to mind some old Mel Gibson movie. biggrin.gif Tell Russ I said Hi.

I plan to ride this Friday providing the "ZICAM" keeps this potential cold away. I feel kinda crappy right now and I don't get sick. Kinda weird how I was feeling crappy last night I decided to work out anyway and benched a record, for me anyway. So, no I'm not on strike, just busy and hiding. LOL!!! tongue.gif

MN2Z, glad your aboard...

LMAO.... I talked to Russ (C.Coaster) and he can't ride tonight.. He has to work at the bar. Its "jello wrestling" tonight...
B. Apold
An average night at the barn...

Crazy thing happend:

Jayson Lyndsey and myself were going over the triple last night like normal right.... Jayson comes up to the triple and I hear pop noise, by this time were both on the top of the jump and Jayson's spokes are pop'n one after the other and from my angle he's headed towards the boards because he can't steer... The flange on his Chris King front hub basically crumbled.. Never seen anything like that before not even on cheap hubs. Nice save Jayson, I thought you were in big trouble.

From what I saw of the broken hub material, it didn't look forged to me. It looked like pot metal. I thought CK hub flanges were forged. anyone?

GW, I will be there to ride but I am on the fence regarding racing.

I kind of over did it with Troy from Revolution practicing gates last night. Troy is one sharp tack and I appreciate all his help!
Paul Springer
Fun night at Rehbeins, it was Moe, Nelson, Christenson and myself. I got to watch some awesome racing. It finished Moe, Christenson, Nelson.

I will be back for more tomorrow.
Jeff Manning
You fuggers with all this practice, racing, hot laps, and gate sprints. Hearing this sheit really chaps my hide. I'm stuck up in Bunyan land with my nutz stuck to a frozen pole.

Walton where do find the time to make it to the Barn everyday? Oh, I forgot your the Boss man and get to call the shots, must be rough!

Gary, I think we should look for an indoor facility up here. Know anyone with a dome they would like to lease for the winter months? biggrin.gif
B. Apold
Jeff is that avatar at Wildwood in Austin?? The cones give it away.

Cold? its cold here too man (-16). The barn was pretty fun Friday and other than NY day I haven't been there riding in a while. Team Zicam pulled me through tongue.gif

Hey guys,

Brad, you's better catch this thread, cuz I think it's dying here. BTW, whats all the studdering going on here?

It's Monday! WHO'S GOING TO THE BARN NEXT FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY???? biggrin.gif
MN2Z
M.C. Nice Flick! How about some Johnny Cash/Glenn Campbell or Johnny Rivers for us old folks? I had to turn down my Whisper 2000® on that one! No Barn for Cal & D.C. this weekend as I’m at the MPLS Boat Show Wed to Sunday with work. They say “If it floats it’s at the Boat Show” I don’t get it; I’m just dead weight at the show, hanging out ~ Boat Anchor! UPDATE: Just working on work schedule change, if so Cal & I (Family) may sneak down to Guthier, OK for a short weekend of NAT. racing. I’ll have to get Low Flying, grass cut’n Moe’s # as he told me he was going. I would like to Cal in one Nat. at the 8 Novice level prior to Int. etc. d.c. P.S. Are you aware that one of the band members from the Kingston Trio® (circa: 1964 Scotch’n Whiskey) passed on yesterday? ~ Dirt nap!

In the Summer of '58, The Kingston Trio returned to San Francisco, playing a four month standing room only run at the famous Hungry i nightclub. During this period the group also recorded their first album, which enjoyed mild success. That Fall, The Trio went to Honolulu to play at The Royal Hawiian. It gave Dave and Bob some time at home, unaware of what was happening on the mainland. Bill Terry and Paul Colburn, DJs at KLUB in Salt Lake City, took a liking to one of the songs on the first KT album and gave it heavy airplay. Other stations across the country picked the song up and and clamored for Capitol Records to release it as a single. Capitol's vice president, Voyle Gilmore, called Frank Werber in Hawaii. "Get those boys back here" he said, "It looks like you're going to have the record of the year."

I may go Friday to ride again. I felt alright last Friday (finally) and need to do some more cardio. Its a little to cold to do my laps with the MTB this week. Maybe this weekend though (MTB).

BTW, were's that Ames? tongue.gif

DC back in the saddle again! Great to hear!

Gary Walton
DC, last sunday was probably the most fun I've ever had racing. I've also had at least 3 people since tell me that it was the best racing all day and how they enjoyed watching the 3 old guys shake hands and smile about the motos each round.

Anyway, cool to see you might be bringing Cal to Guthrie. Here's a link the place we're staying, as well as a bunch of other MN riders. Mention the race and they'll knock $10 off.

Hi All,

I'm still in Thailand, it's pretty rough - $300 Baht for a massage (that's about $9 to you and I), and there's one on every corner and two on each street. The food is OK and the women are so pretty it's hard to think about much else. The scooters these guys are running are trick as hell, 125cc bikes with alloys and pipes.

We put on about 1400 Kilos before our leader took a digger to the shoulder in a collision with one of the locals near Laos, so we came back to home base.

There's no such thing as a straight road over here, one of the roads had 1864 curves, we rode it out and back (you do the math). They stuck me with a big Honda CB1000 with a nice Yosh pipe, man this thing is fast and it makes a pretty sound when you crack the throttle. Things are good.

We're doing hot laps around the mountain near Chaing Mai tomorrow, then it's a day of downhilling on the MTB in the jungle on Friday.

Looking forward to the weekly romps at the barn when I get back.

Ted, I read that thread - I don't know what I'm looking for ??

I'll check in next week.
MN2Z
G-Ray, yes all weekend both Sat. & Sun was great watching you guys from tail pipe view. I appreciate you two throwing me the bone on third moto. We are going to have some fun this year!! I think if you add a few more guys to the mix we could have some great gates, almost a story line ~ OLD GUYS AT WORK, NEED OXYGEN Defibrillator ASAP! It’s in the blood, I had to see if I could get the work schedule changed to get Cal to OK and see some belt buckles. Thanks for hotel tip; I booked yesterday Fairfield Inn & Suites Edmond, just down the street from you. Based on Boat Show, we might make Sunday at Barn?? @ this point.

M.C. saddle looks like my pace need water!! Mark, would you work the defibrillator here?

Paul Springer
I am so psyched that you and Cal are going to OK.

DC, you have some sweet b cups there, most impressive self portrait.

It would appear that someone has altered my name tag, and is playing a cruel joke towards the ATR team (SMURf) Wendt?
